Check Out Aretuza Caldas Garner’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aretuza Caldas Garner.

Hi Aretuza, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am originally from Rio de Janeiro Brasil, I started dancing at age four years old under Eugenia Feodorova (National Opera of Kiev), Tatiana Leskova (Original Ballet Russe) and Bertha Rosanova (Teatro Municipal do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil). I have been teaching for 27 years and I had my own Dance School in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands. I am an International Classical Ballet teacher and I judge competitions in many cities in USA and Mexico with Sheer Elite International. I moved to Orlando in 2010 after closing my Dance School in the islands so my daughter could have the same opportunities I had growing up. I became an american citizen two years ago and I love living in Orlando in being part of a community surrounded by many cultures, diversity and arts.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think we all have challenges and obstacles in different ways as a human being; but I always believed in myself and I believed that when you are passionate about something, you should pursue your dream no matter what! That’s what I’ve been teaching my daughter for the last 16 years.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Classical Ballet Teacher. I am known for my passionate way of teaching and creating. I am proud of all the students that passed through my teaching; even if they aren’t dancers anymore, they still carry the hard work, discipline and strength in their lives.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
I would tell all my readers to follow their dreams. It sometimes, it seems impossible to conquer it but if you keep pushing it through and keep going forward, no one can stop you!

I am opening a Dance School on April. The name of my new school is Orlando Dance Conservatory and will be open for registration on March 5th, 2021.

We will be concentrating in Classical Ballet, Pointe, Variations, Partnering and Contemporary Dance.

We are very excited to bring a Classical Ballet Conservatory to Winter Garden Horizon West.
The ages are 2 years old to Adults.
