Check Out Jayne Williams’ Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jayne Williams.

Hi Jayne, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story goes back to my childhood when I was five years old. My parents went through a messy divorce, and I became an amazing “bottler.” I was the kid who was sunshine on the outside, working hard to keep the peace but a mess on the inside. That mess manifested into horrible gut issues throughout my 20’s. Between poor eating habits, not knowing how to deal with stress, and major IBS I was in a downward spiral. After an emergency visit to the ER and a colonoscopy, I was placed on prescription medication to “help” ease symptoms… at the time. I thought it was going to be a “quick fix.” But after one miscarriage, three years of infertility treatments, an incredible desire to have a child, and being tired of always feeling bad, I decided I needed to empower myself to get healthy and kick the prescription meds. That’s when I discovered nutrition school, my passion for holistic health and wellness, and my desire to learn all I could around the idea of what it actually means to be healthy and nourish my body.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
There have definitely been bumps in the road. From trying to be a working Mom, raising my daughter, being a wife, going back to school and getting my business up and running, it’s been an incredible journey. I’m grateful for every bump as it has taught me what I do and don’t want in my life. I am a firm believer there is so much growth in the struggle. The more we resist, the longer you are stuck in it. I have always maintained a glass-half-full mentality and that everything is “figureoutable” (is that a word?! lol). The struggles and bumps have helped me grow into a successful, empowered female entrepreneur.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Holistic Nutritionist with a focus in Gut Health and a Business Mentor to Health & Wellness Professionals newer to the field and looking to scale their wellness business. I work with 1:1 clients both on the nutrition and business side, as well as create online programs using my nutritional foundation, The fundamental5 Method. I am most proud of my continued education and results that I help to get my clients, both on the nutrition side and business side. Nothing makes me happier than empowering my clients to build and fuel the life and body they love! I think what sets me apart are two things. My belief that anything is possible when I have the right tools and take the right action, and my investigative nature. I love a good challenge! I look at it as an amazing opportunity for growth (I think this circles back to my early days as a television journalist… I loved the investigative nature) both on the health and business side.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
This is a tough one! I think there are two, so I am going to include them both. Authenticity and Confidence. They go hand and hand. Authenticity is what sets you apart. Sharing your story, being authentic to who you are and sharing from a place of knowing. Your community will find you if you share from this space. It’s your voice that sets you apart. Without confidence, we can’t get out there. You need to do it afraid to begin with it. Stretch and grow, stretch and grow. This is where you find your strength, your comfort, your zone of influence, and your true passion. I talk more about confidence with women in my business mentorship more than anything else.
