Check Out Kelsey Mojica’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kelsey Mojica.

Kelsey, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Ever since I was a little girl, I loved fashion. I had a desire in my heart to design when I was 18 and it never shook off… when I was 26, I woke up one morning and decided to learn to sew, only to find out I hardly even knew how to work a machine. I researched and found a sewing course at Orlando tech and began classes later that year. To my amazement, I discovered a hidden talent I had no idea I had. I’m still very new to this work but it has opened many opportunities and doors for me and I’m very excited for what’s in store!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My biggest struggle has been just believing in myself. But I trust the talent that God has given me and I know he will continue to guide me.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
My passion is formalwear. I love the freedom in creativity, I feel. I am free to be as extravagant as I please in my designs. I love to create pieces that make you say WOW.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory was exploring the neighborhood and making friends. Laughing and playing outside and enjoying my youth.
