Check Out Camery Barden’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Camery Barden.

Hi Camery, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my career about six years ago. Honestly, the only reason I was able to go to school is because of my oldest son when I had him, I was able to receive financial aid in order to go to Paul Mitchell. While I was in school, I had the pleasure of bringing another beautiful baby boy into the world which caused me to dive right into the industry getting a job in hair and make-up for special events, mainly weddings. I didn’t wanna waste any time jumpstarting my career now being a mother of two. I have worked in a few salons throughout my journey but nothing is like opening your own business which is what I have the pleasure of doing currently. I provide services all over Florida, and out of state if they’ll have me, I not only provide on-location hair and makeup but salon services as well.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I feel like nothing is a smooth road especially if it’s a dream or if it is in your line of purpose. I have had multiple hills to climb along the way, But I feel like mainly I’ve been blessed I’ve been connected to the right people and steered in the right direction. If there is a struggle, I would look out for I guess it’s preparation for the industry, nothing can prepare you for the beauty industry except for experience you’re not only implementing your craft into the world you’re making connections with people that you’ve never met before and creating an experience that they’ll never forget anything can prepare you for how much of yourself you have to put into this career. I absolutely love what I do and I’m so blessed to be able to climb this ladder and be where I am now.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I do it all! Honestly, if I don’t know how to do it and you ask me to, please believe I will figure it out. I like to say that I specialize in hair, in general, that is where I came from now, I do make-up as well but hair has my heart. I feel like I’m most proud of how I make my clients feel I try to make them feel special like they know I’m focusing on them and in this very moment everything leading up to now was purposefully done to create an experience that they will never forget. I also think that that’s what sets me apart from others I love what I do I love to show off my styles but the connections I create with people are long-lasting to the point where my brides become color guests absolutely love it.

What matters most to you?
Within the industry? It would have to be my client’s experience and guest interaction. I want my clients to know that they are safe with me and that I will do everything I possibly can to help them feel beautiful no matter what it is I’m doing for them. That’s really important to me because not everyone has the chance to feel beautiful or to feel relaxed or to see themselves the way that I see them and I allow them to have the chance to do that. Outside of the industry what’s most important are my children because without them I wouldn’t have been able to be where I am right now not only did, they give me the opportunity to go to school, but they gave me the drive and the focus to create my own business to push through any of the complications I’ve had along the way my kids have been my main source of energy.
