Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Saint-Cyr.
Hi Grace, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I think of my story, I think of it as just the beginning. I know that there is much more to come. To say that I have a complete account is that my life book is already written. I still like to think of myself being in the first chapter—a very long first chapter at that. However, as I look back on what has been going on for me, I see the arrival of the second chapter. I can trust the next chapter because I know the author.
To begin, a spark started in me to strive to be successful. Being successful can make unique meanings from different perspectives. In my eyes, success is not determined by money, status, fame, degrees, followers, etc. Success is a mindset. No one can define success for you but yourself. You already have victory; you need to claim it.
In high school, I have always been a persistent person. I would not take no for an answer. Whenever I faced obstacles that knocked me down, I would find a way to get back up. I started high school while I was in college. When it comes to head starts, I will always take them. Regarding education, I will have quite the journey as I will attend law school the following year. I am a junior at the University of Central Florida, working towards a BS in Criminal Justice.
The summer I graduated from high school, I decided to get my real estate license. From a young age, I enjoyed exploring the houses that central Florida had to offer. In the meantime, while I was in school, I decided to enter the real estate field, which is where I am now. As I move forward, I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The beginning is always rocky. Take for example, when a baby starts to walk, they always stumble and fall. Until they are able to get their balance. That’s how I felt in the beginning. During the season when I was going to take my real estate exam, my uncle passed away unexpectedly. I proceeded and took the test and did not pass. a couple of weeks later my grandma passed away. Because of this, I felt discouraged about moving forward. However, I focuses ad studies and passed the test.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am currently a realtor. At the moment, I focus on residential and rentals. In the future, I plan to specialize in luxury real estate. I can offer many services that may not be readily available. These can include the current market value of a home, area home sale statistics, and market trends and tools only available from a professional real estate agent. I am most proud of being able to help people in my community. Many people need help with real estate but don’t know anyone. That is why it’s essential to let everyone know you are a realtor. My values and mission set me apart from others. Most agents care about how a client benefits themselves. For me, I care how I can benefit a client. How can my expertise in real estate help people, whether it’s finding their dream home, rental, fixer-upper, business property, etc.? I strive to see everyone happy with their dream property.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memory is being able to be raised in the church. It makes me what I am today.
