Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaylee Luck.
Hi Jaylee, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Growing up, I was infatuated with Barbie dolls. I would create unique styles and even attempt to color their hair. At fourteen, I decided to take a leap of faith and take clients out of my garage. At this time, I only specialized in braiding services. I only received one to three clients per week. After two years of braiding and growing my clientele. I decided to step away and only focus on weave styling and ponytails. Now I Am twenty and flourishing in my specialties. My clientele has increased tremendously over the years, allowing me to depend solemnly on that source of income. Once I took off , I decided to make more content that would increase my over all engagement. This decision lead me to taking my social media platforms more serious and turn them into currency. I started off with short clips of my everyday life followed by hair tutorials of me installing wigs on myself and my clients. The feedback that I received was amazing so I continued to do it . The opportunities that’s I’ve received so far have been life changing. I get to work with elite beauty companies such as my most recent collaboration with Florida’s number one beauty supply store; Beauty Exchange. I truthfully never imagined that at twenty I would be a freelance model, entrepreneur, and recording artist. My hobbies are now apart of my job, I get to have fun , be creative , and work on my own terms. What else can a girl ask for ?
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Entrepreneurship is not exactly an easy role. It required dedication, connections, and work. Once you learn your course, you then begin to have a better understanding of what you need in order to grow. The goal is to always expand.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am a creative hairstylist, content creator, and recording artist. I am known for my classy hairstyles and feminine-oriented content. I am currently working on creating quality content for my followers and focusing on my most recent brand deal. I can honestly say that I am proud of my creative ability and dedication to stand in my calling. What sets me apart is my authenticity to myself.
The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you, and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
I’ve learned to be more compassionate to others’ situation. It’s ok to have boundaries and follow rules, all while being a helping hand to others.
