Check Out Natia Robinson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Natia Robinson.

Hi Natia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Rightfully. the self-proclaimed bounce-back queen. So many obstacles have tried to stop me and destroy me from discovering myself. There is so much power already lingering inside of us, all awaiting to be tapped into. I came from a small town with small town values, and a church-going grandma I spent afternoons with. Every statistic stacked up against me and I knocked them down like pins at the bowling alley. I remember my biggest supporter becoming my biggest doubter because I became a young mom. I graduated high school with a three-week-old baby in the audience. I graduated college just to prove everyone wrong, but I felt I had no real purpose. I had no idea what I really wanted to do with my life. No one talks to young moms about their potential and the possibilities. To the world, your life is over. When you’re a mom, at any age it doesn’t mean your life is over, it’s just different now. Entrepreneurship has always called me, even as a child I always found ways to make money around me. I took business classes in high school, I won business competitions, and I was in the Institute of Youth Entrepreneurs. When I found myself at ground zero it was the perfect opportunity to reinvent myself. The perfect opportunity to bounce back again but to a place that God created just for me. After a car accident that could have ended my life. I found myself unable to walk or use my left arm temporarily. I knew I had to do something, and no one was going to feel bad for me or extend the same grace after I started to walk again. I knew I couldn’t get a regular job to support my children now that I was suddenly a single mother. I had to start something, and I asked God what he wanted me to do. He ordered my every step. Everyone always asks, “Where did you get the name Elephant Tax from?” It was nothing but God! I was actually afraid to tell the first person the name, but her response made me excited, she got it! This was my vision, and I was going to do what it took to make it come alive. Just so happens, or maybe not so coincidentally, as soon as I was able to walk, I was walking into the closing table. The homes I helped my clients secure were able to help me to invest in starting my own business. Real Estate was a major key to creating my foundation. Now an agent at Premier Sotheby’s International Realty in Dr. Phillips. I knew from the beginning that what I brought to the industry was something no one had seen before in Orlando. I knew people would love what I had to offer.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely been a roller coaster, but God was the conductor. The struggles of being a single mother unexpectedly not only once, but twice.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Once I learn new information, digest it, and redeliver it is impeccable. I am analytical and ambitious so when it comes to being a tax professional and contracts in real estate, the details matter.

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you.
There is no luck. There is only what you create.
