Check Out Tasha Williams’ Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tasha Williams.

Hi Tasha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m Tasha and I’m a permanent makeup artists & owner of Bladed Beauty Bar, located in beautiful Central Florida. I didn’t always know I wanted to be a permanent makeup artist. After 14 years in the corporate world, I knew I was ready for a change. I’ve always been creative and PMU has allowed me to really express myself through my work. Since starting my own business, I’ve extended my education and I’m now six times certified in permanent makeup & added licensed esthetician to the list. This career has given me more fulfillment than any other occupation I’ve ever had. I absolutely have found my niche’ and I know I have given my girls something to be proud of.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I now understand why they say diamonds are created under pressure. It was never easy. Even the best days came with their challenges. Now that I am established and comfortable with my work and end results, I look back on the early days with gratitude. In permanent makeup, there is not a lot of room for mistakes. I started practicing day and night on oranges, then fake skin, and thankfully, some really good friends. After doing a set of brows, I would spend countless hours reviewing the photos and dissecting the brow patterns. I would study to see where I needed to improve and that would be where I took my focus until I knew I had it. My passion for perfecting my craft was and is my drive for this business. I feel accomplished at the end of the day knowing that I worked to feel that confident with my abilities. I’m also very thankful to my clients who stuck with me through my development.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
By title, I am a licensed Permanent Makeup Artist and Esthetician. My specialty is all things brows, each client requires an individualized service, so I offer a multitude of customizable options. Don’t get me wrong, I love giving facials and making women look and feel their best, but I will always be best known locally as the brow girl. I’m proud that I can say I get to wake up everyday knowing I built a business from the ground up and I get to do something that truly makes me happy. I’ve always liked to go off the beaten path. I’m not afraid of failure because I will never allow myself to fail. If there is one thing I can say for sure, don’t bet against me, I’m always putting in work.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Having my business closed unexpectedly wasn’t ideal and I was thrilled to re-open. Thankfully my top priory has always been the health and safety of my clients. I already followed the state-regulated guidelines prior to COVID and now have adopted the CDC guidelines as well.
