Conversations with Adrian Cabrera

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrian Cabrera

Adrian, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?

After graduating from Full Sail University, I was lucky to intern at TyFy Studios. They work Primarily with Disney, Lucas Film and many other major companies in the entertainment industry. I Remember one time where the voice actor was sick and couldn’t make it to the session and they needed to record a voice-over in Spanish. I was the only person that could speak Spanish so they asked me to do it haha. Few years later, my voice is still in the “Happily Ever After show” in Magic Kingdom at the Disney Parks. After that Experience, I decided to pursue music production and engineering on my own. I started offering my services for free at first, I thought to myself, if “I can work with as many people as possible for free just to get my name around, then when I sharpen my skills and build a catalog, I can start charging.” It was very tough and slow at first but with consistency, I was able to land my first paid client in 2017. I slowly started to build my home-studio and elevate my quality. Moving forward to 2020 – 2021, my catalogue has grown exponentially and I now I have had songs featured on Radios, Venues, Online shows. I am so excited to see my business grow but also myself!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?

I has not been a smooth road. Many ups and downs financially and wit building trust with clients. Also trying to maintain relationships with friends or loved ones. I’ve had to sacrifice going out and spending time with friends at times in order to keep the business moving forward.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?

I work in music production and also audio engineering. I’m known as “Adrriiiiannnnnnn” that’s what my production tag sounds like haha. I specialize in creating songs with songwriters and artists. I’m very proud of every Artist I’ve worked with that has allowed to and trusted me with their music.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?

I grew up in Guayaquil Ecuador until I was 11 years old. Then, moved to New York City. I was very quiet and loved baseball! All I would talk about is baseball haha.
