Conversations with Andrea Pavone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrea Pavone

Hi Andrea, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Growing up my mom was always hosting and entertaining for family, friends and even hosted birthday parties for my dolls. My love for planning events started in college at UCF, when I was social chair for my sorority, Pi Beta Phi. After college I started working for Hilton hotels in events and fell in love with weddings. I was known for doing large scale Indian weddings and continued to do those for over 10 years. After almost 12 years with Hilton, I decided to follow my passion and dream and started Pavone Events. We just celebrated 5 years and I love being able to celebrate the best day of most peoples lives with them.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road, even though I was in the industry for a long time I still found it competitive in the Orlando market with so many great planners. I am a big believer in Community over Competition and in fact have a lot of friends who are wedding planners. Now with Covid we are finding new ways to be competitive and offer great services for couples looking to plan their weddings.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are a small but mighty team built of two lead planners, me being one of them and Zoe who has been with me almost since the beginning. We specialize in being a boutique wedding planning company and really concentrate on our clients experience and personalizing their wedding day. Because of that we limit the number of weddings we do to provide a more customized planning experience. We are told by our vendor friends and couples that we are extremely involved and very detail oriented. We focus on building a repoir with our couples and keep in touch with them even after the wedding to celebrate all of life’s little milestones. If I had to describe our style I would say traditional and romantic.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
I remember as a child having birthday parties for my cabbage patch kids, singing to Grease and playing outdoors til the sun went down, do kids do this anymore.
