Conversations with Floydie and Rich Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Floydie and Rich Brown.

Hi Floydie and Rich, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Floydie: My partner Rich and I have over 20 years of combined experience in the music and entertainment industry. Due to my passion for talent management and artist development, I founded Ultimate Talent Global as a management company in 2017. In 2018 we brought in Rich as our CEO and started the process of becoming a full-service licensed modeling and talent agency.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Rich: To put it frankly NO. Our road has been anything but smooth. However through every obstacle, we have gained strength and wisdom that helps us to make better decisions in the future. I’d say that navigating our team through the pandemic has been the most difficult challenge we’ve faced so far. Our business model was primarily based around events and large productions and when those were no longer an option, we were forced to pivot into other avenues while continuing to grow and expand into new markets.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We book talent, models, photographers and cinematographers throughout the state of Florida. We specialize in content creation, event coordination and talent management. We are most known for our annual Ultimate Fashion Show for Charity. Every year we partner with a local charity and donate all proceeds to support underprivileged children and families throughout Central Florida. We are most proud of the culture and family environment that we have created within our agency. What sets us apart from others is our integrity, professionalism and our willingness to compromise and follow through on the best possible outcome for everyone that we work with.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
-Rich: I think it’s really important to figure out what value you can provide others. People want to work with people they like and can benefit from in some way. Discovering your unique talents and the ways in which you can help others can motivate people to develop relationships with you. This can have a lasting impact on your career and in your personal life as well.

-Floydie: In addition to what Rich said, I would also encourage people to genuinely be interested in others and care about their story just as much as your own. This will give you a more fruitful perspective on life and help you create long-lasting relationships.
