Conversations with Tanya Michelle

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tanya Michelle.

Hi Tanya, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Professional Angler, mentor, influencer, Single mother of 2 amazing kiddos, Kelsey (20 yo daughter) & Kason (9 yo boy)

I have always loved fishing since I was little; my dad & Grandpa taught me how to fish at a very young age. Needless to say, I was hooked. (Pun intended) I enjoy fishing in Tournaments, some with my children & some without. I enjoy photography and videography.

My team and I are the Major League Fishing, ICAST Cup 2021 Champions, breaking 2 records, first ladies to win the Championship Cup, and we weighed the BIGGEST BAG in ICAST history, weighing 5 fish (Largemouth bass) with a total of 25 lbs. 10 ounces.

I have a following across social media platforms, as I post lots of our catches; I love influencing more women and children (even men) to get outdoors and enjoy all our earth has to offer and never stop exploring.

When we aren’t fishing, we are at the baseball field, as my son plays for the Tropics Baseball Club 10U, Travel team. He plays catcher, pitcher, and 3rd base. He plays really well and loves the sport.

I enjoy being a digital creator with all our fun adventures; I also help host veterans’ fishing events to help get our veterans out on the water fishing traditional style (rod & reel) or bow fishing with a Bow.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Fishing is hard; it takes many things to line up to be successful; just like anything, practice helps a lot. Trial and error also work; some things that work for me might not necessarily work for you.

Do research and make a plan; you can do anything you put your mind to.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I enjoy creating content and influencing others to get out on the water and in the outdoors. Give fishing a try. Take a kid fishing.

I love taking photos and videography and was just invited to switch to professional mode on FB for my reels; making content is more enjoyable when you know you are being paid for your time.
