Daily Inspiration: Meet Ashley D’Angelo

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley D’Angelo.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I have been in hospitality for ten years – so serving people comes naturally to me! I wanted to be able to serve others in a bigger way, so I made the decision to start my career in real estate. It’s been so much fun meeting and helping tons of people and families from all walks of life, and I can’t wait to help even more in 2021! Owning a home, especially for the first time, can seem like a daunting experience, so I make it my mission to take the wheel on all the scary stuff to help guide my buyers and sellers so they can sit back and enjoy the ride. It’s tough work – but the reward is worth it 100 times over!

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Jumping careers is never “easy” – especially in 2020 – and I know there are a lot of people who chose or were forced to do so this year. Covid definitely made things more tricky in an industry I was getting used to, and I fought with my inner dialogue quite a bit about “being able” to even do real estate at all… it’s the mental game that’s always the toughest. But after being laid off in March, I was forced to jump in feet first – I had no other options at the time. I’ve learned a ton and had to grow immensely in that time, and I found out how truly challenging the real estate industry is. Being quick to see market changes, keeping track of new and unique buyer desires, helping sellers sell safely and at the right price, and advising investors where to put their dollars all while managing my own budget and marketing has been a whirlwind. It hasn’t been easy, and self-discipline and motivation have been something I’ve had to really focus on, but I’m proud of myself for sticking with it and always keeping the number one thing, the number one thing: serving others.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I studied sales & marketing at Arizona State prior to getting my Realtors license, and having a passion for marketing definitely gives me a leg up in terms of my services. I am proud to be well versed in how to market not only in the traditional sense but online and with social media as well. It’s another area of expertise that I can offer my clients that many others don’t have under their belt!

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Business is not all about numbers – it’s about people. Helping and serving more people makes the business grow. So instead of focusing on growing the business, I shifted to focus first on helping others – honestly and sincerely. In return, I’ve not only been blessed in numbers but in finding a purpose for my career and life.
