Exploring Life & Business with Rida Bakhsh

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rida Bakhsh.

Hi Rida, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
For years I enjoyed a successful career in corporate America where I was diligently climbing the proverbial ladder. I held a variety of roles in marketing, administration, and business operations. My father unexpectedly passed away which caused me to reassess what direction I wanted for my life. I continued to work in corporate America but it no longer felt right. I realized I was following a path that was set in motion a long time ago but was not true to who I was now. My life consisted of multiple accidents causing a lot of physical and emotional trauma. I struggled in silence for years. I was tired of feeling unfulfilled, overwhelmed, and stuck in a life based on other people’s expectations.

I spent years working on myself and through my own personal development journey, I was able to transform my life to become the woman I wanted to be. In every position I held, I most enjoyed mentoring and training where I was able to flex my coaching muscles to motivate my peers & team. This uncovered a passion of mine so I decided to leave corporate America and start my own heart-centered coaching business. Because of my own triumphs, this offers a unique perspective along with my approach. Today, I am a certified life coach, mentor, speaker, and founder of the Rida Bakhsh Coaching Collective where we offer premium coaching services to women to help them transform their essence. Essence is similar to your energy but more specifically, it is who you are and how you are “showing up” in three key areas of mindset, image and confidence (MIC). By amplifying your “MIC”, we teach women how to stop suffering in silence and raise their vibration in order to become the best version of themselves. I truly believe changing your mindset will change your life. I also enjoy designing inspirational clothing called Positivi-Tees. This line is a way to promote positive vibes and send high energy back into the world, one woman at a time…

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Definitely not a smooth road. I had to do a lot of soul-searching and reconnect with myself in order to push past the fear. It is so easy to start living in default mode and stay stuck in auto-pilot. Becoming a life coach and starting my own business was not an easy decision. Once I found true happiness I wanted to share the tools and techniques with others. I hired my own coach to help with the business side. I was encouraged but emotionally, I dealt with a lot of naysayers. I encountered a lack of support from my circle and lost “friends’ along the way.

I launched my company officially in 2020. I lost some of my private coaching clients due to the pandemic and all of my in-person speaking engagements were canceled. I invested a lot in my training, education and business startup so I felt discouraged when I didn’t meet a lot of my personal goals. There were days I felt defeated. Although I was faced with a variety of obstacles, this gave me an opportunity to self-coach myself. I had to reset my outlook and my training allowed me to embrace these obstacles by adjusting my outlook. I learned how to pivot and be creative with my offerings. During this time, I also took multiple trainings, learned how to build my own website, created marketing materials, learned video editing etc… Because of this, now I am able to offer my clients premium coaching services and offerings. My business has grown because I embraced the obstacles and viewed each challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Rida Bakhsh Coaching Collective offers premium personal development coaching for women and girls. Some coach from their training while others coach from their personal experiences. I coach from both and offer my clients a unique perspective. For years I lived hiding behind a mask and smile putting everyone else first. I was “that’ girl. Because I was able to transform my life and become the woman I wanted to be, I now dedicate my days to helping the woman I ‘was’ find her own happiness. At RBC Collective, we help you take off your mask, stop living in silence so you can amplify your MIC – your mindset, image, and confidence. When we say image, its not just about the way you look, its about the way you feel. The work we focus on starts from the inside out. For my mature clients, we work on unlearning any unhealthy patterns that are holding you back from your goals. We do a full-scale assessment of who you are now and identify who do you want to be.

For my teen clients, we work to instill positive core self-values at this early age to strengthen their mindset, image and confidence to lay a solid foundation as they move into adulthood. I tailor my coaching to the specific needs of my clients. We start off with self-awareness-> self-assessment -> self-discovery -> self-development. However, we are all different and unique, so I don’t believe in a one size fits all box approach. Coaching is organic so based on my formula, structure and framework, the path will be different for each based on their desired outcome. I offer a variety of live coaching programs, e-coaching programs (solely via email/chat), group coaching programs and mini online courses. I also offer a free women’s empowerment group on FaceBook called the Empowerment Coaching Collective. This is a wonderful community of likeminded supportive women all learning and growing together. I became a coach to genuinely help others push past their fear and tap into their potential. I want women to know, YES they can! I love being their guide, cheerleader and coach along the way. I challenge their perspective and help them to see their blind spots. Coaching isn’t therapy but it is therapeutic. My 3-pronged MAC approach consist of motivation, accountability and consistency in order to keep my clients moving toward their goals. In addition, I also offer inspirational t-shirts and clothing called Positivi-Tees. The purpose is to promote positive vibes and send high energy back into the world, one woman at a time… A portion of all proceeds are donated back to the education and empowerment of young women.

I also offer complimentary discovery calls for those who want to explore if coaching is right for them. Coaching is a powerful tool when you are ready to commit to yourself. Discovery calls can be scheduled at https://calendly.com/ridab/exploratory

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
In addition to my focus on emotional wellness, I am also a wife, proud mama bear of two, recovering people pleaser, inspirational t-shirt designer, coffee enthusiast and lover of life. Last year in 2020 (during covid), I held a MySelf Teen Workshop for teen girls in Lake Mary, FL. The focus was on core self-values such as self-esteem, self-confidence, self-respect self-care, self-image and self-love. This was a remarkable in-person event that offered girls insight into what these are and why they are important. The highlight reel can be found on YouTube: https://youtu.be/73gQThUAmCg. Excited to announce, you can expect to see more events like this during the 3rd & 4th quarter in addition to the launch of the “I Was That Girl” Podcast.
