Exploring Life & Business with Alexandra Wagner of The Spiritual Planet

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexandra Wagner.

Hi Alexandra, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
The Spiritual Planet began as a way of healing.

My name is Alexandra Wagner and I am 26 years old. Born in Costa Rica but I now reside in Orlando Florida. I am a college graduate and I accomplished my career aspirations early on by becoming a therapist for neurodivergent children.

Through the Pandemic, my work became increasingly difficult as it did for many. After experiencing extreme burnout, I turned inside for the answers, my roots, spirituality, people, and mental health.

Hence The Spiritual Planet was born! Creating and building an online platform to be able to share, sell, entertain, educate, and inspire my peers about Spirituality and Mental Health, has greatly improved my health spiritually and mentally.

The Spiritual Planet is a work in progress working hard to be able to give back to our community. I proudly donate to two charities that hit close to my heart.

1)The Trevor Project; is a life-saving organization that protects the precious lives of LGBTQ youth.

2)Tree Nation; a non-profit committed to reforesting the planet. For every product we sell, we plant a tree! So far, The Spiritual Planet has planted over 1,500 Trees.

Today, we are operating online, and in person at pop-up shops and markets in and around Orlando. Some of our favorite markets to attend are “The Moon Mercado” a spiritual full moon drum circle and the night market. Vegan Events like “Orlando Vegan Market” and “Vegan Events Orlando”. Family-friendly markets like “East Orlando Farmers Market, and quirky eclectic community markets like “Bazaar Botanica”

Being able to connect with so many individuals going through the same spiritual path as me, has emboldened me to continue to grow The Spiritual Planet and help as many people as we can along the way.

Love, Light & Empathy

-The Spiritual Planet

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No road that leads to success is ever smooth. I have had many bumps and learning curves hit me at every turn!

Had to learn everything from scratch, website design, social media, photography, online sales, in-person selling, taxes, and customer service, all things I had no previous experience in.

Through persistence and help from other strong women in business, I have been able to adapt to any curveball that comes my way.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am very proud to say that The Spiritual Planet is a Queer-owned, Women-Owned and Operated, and small Family Business, all in one!

We are the spiritual shop for the girls, gays & they’s. We specifically curtail our brand for this audience, however every person, no matter their sexuality, religion, race, or age, we are inclusive to everybody!

Alongside our retail shop, we are working on creating and cultivating one space that answers all your burning questions regarding Spirituality in modern times. We combine our extensive knowledge and keep you up to date with new research to educate and entertain with our BRAND NEW Blog!

We have all been where you are, on the precipice of change, the start of your Spiritual Journey. There are many questions and confusion about what to do and how to start. It can be maddening trying to find accurate, helpful information. To fix this, was born!

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up.
One of my favorite childhood memories was when I was little, my mom would bring me to her retail store. We would spend all day together surrounded by beautiful clothes. Watching my mom do everything by herself showed me that anything is possible for young girls and women everywhere. She is one of my biggest inspirations and supporters.
