Exploring Life & Business with Reinier Cruz of Reinier al Revés

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reinier Cruz.

Hi Reinier, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Today I am who I am thanks to social media networks. I can say that social networks have greatly influenced my performance as a professional in United States. I’m Cuban and I came to this country like so many others in search of a better future. Trying to find what would make me feel good and at the same time help me financially, I found a hobby that today has become my passion and my main activity. I created a YouTube channel in which in my opinion, I was sharing the best places to live in town and guiding people who were looking for information about the city. At that time, I lived in Jacksonville, FL and as time went by I saw that my information was really helping many people who little by little were following me on my other social networks. With the arrival of the Pandemic, I lost my job and it was the right moment to dedicate myself completely to my YouTube channel and turn it into a job since it really was a great source of help for many people. I moved to Orlando and I realized that what I was doing in those videos fit perfectly with the work Realtors do and I got the idea of linking both activities and after several months of study, I obtained my Real Estate License and that is what I am now. Not only a person who buy or sell houses but also someone who provides help and information to everyone who wants to relocate to Orlando, FL and have the best experience.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Sometimes people think this job is easy, but in reality it is not. Being a Realtor and YouTuber at the same time requires many hours of study. Not only learn everything I need to guide clients in buying or selling their home, but also all the knowledge you need to have to provide information about the city. There are many hours sitting at the computer or driving through its multiple neighborhoods trying to know everything about each site. The history of the city, ethnic groups, new developments, future plans are some of the things that I have to immerse myself in daily to fill myself with everything I want to offer. Without forgetting all the issues related to credit, taxes, loans and many other topics related with real estate.

As you know, we’re big fans of Reinier al Revés. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Linking YouTube Channel with my career is one of the things I enjoy the most about my job and for which many of my clients or people know me. I love videography and I always try my best to provide an entertaining and informative video at the same time. I like that people enjoy what they see and of course, it attracts them to the point that they become potential customers. I think the magic of my job is to make what they see in my videos the reality of many families. Seeing the happy face of a client at the end of closing after having bought or sold his property makes me feel very proud of my work as a Realtor.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
In this business, the essential is to be very dynamic nowadays. Not being afraid to speak in public or in front of the camera is essential to make yourself known and let the world know you are here to provide this service they need. Promotion is also very important because if nobody knows you nobody will come to you for help. My advice is to let it go, lose your stage fright and try what best works for you until you feel confident with yourself. Always try to shine and be the light for many people.
