Hidden Gems: Meet Evalise Leonardo of Keep Fit Training

Today we’d like to introduce you to Evalise Leonardo.

Hi Evalise, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been a personal trainer for three years now, training only part-time while maintaining a corporate 9-5. I knew working a desk job wasn’t for me anymore and training people is where my true passion was. Being a part of someone’s fitness journey is so rewarding for me. I’ve changed and made an impact with a lot of my clients thus far and it’s been such an exciting ride.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was a struggle starting out because you have to open yourself to finding your clients. I never trained at a commercial gym so it was hard initially finding people to trust you. I’ve always trained a private facility but being transparent and being myself was comforting for people. After making body transformations, that’s when the referrals started coming in.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Keep Fit Training is a private owned fitness studio, it’s an intimate space where you don’t ever have to feel intimidated. All of K.F.T members are like family! Everyone encourages one another. As a business owner and trainer, I like to make sure that everyone gets a satisfying workout. I encourage you to push yourself through it, although it can be very challenging at first, ultimately I am embedding in you to believe in yourself and your capabilities to the fullest. You don’t only have a trainer in me you gain a friend and accountability coach. Keep Fit Training is lifestyle in itself, to keep striving, to keep moving forward, to keep unleashing your inner strength, and to keep believing in yourself. I don’t only offer in-person training but I have online training and workout plans available on my website.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Making people happy and making them feel good about themselves. Seeing their fitness and health journey from day one is truly fulfilling to me. I fell in love with myself again when I picked up a dumbbell. Seeing how it made me feel seven years ago, I knew I had to reciprocate it for others.
