Today we’d like to introduce you to Raphael Loquellano.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up in Maitland, Fl but was born in the Philippines, where I spent my first 7 years on Earth. I always dreamed of being a fashion designer or architect, but as life had other plans, I fell into the shoes of life. After working for numerous entrepreneurs in great Winter Park startups, I decided to take on photography. My love for service, film, and details pushed me to build a timeless brand of my own. My community has been so kind and supportive of my work. Now I can say I’ve worked for such great organizations and companies, ones that many locals gravitate towards. I’m about 7 years in, and I feel like it has just begun.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Finding your creative voice and style, I think will always be a challenge. Financially, I had to hustle and take on tasks despite being a full-time freelancer to make ends meet. I didn’t just want to be a photographer who sold a service, but I wanted to be an artist dedicated to my craft. There’s something to be said about having the humility to get to where we want to be, and the process may not always be a smooth sail. I kept being around people who were optimistic and had great energy so that when hard times came, I was able to be above that:
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Loquellano Media LLC?
Loquellano media specializes in brand, lifestyle, commercial, fashion, and portrait photography. I have an amazing team with combined years of studying colors and composition and continue to grow our culture every day. I love my community, and many Orlando people often find me in many downtown coffee shops. Within this year, I’ve been working many hours in production and content advertising. My team and I offer retainer digital media content as well as consulting for businesses. I also have a team dedicated to wedding photography in film and digital. What sets us apart is that we’re dedicated to our timeless style and creating that customer-focused experience. My team and I now operate outside of just Orlando, taking on projects in other major cities on the east coast.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I think meeting people where they’re at is huge. I think “self “anything is great for the right circumstances, but there’s strength in understanding those that may be in a different wavelength from you. That’s why I’m able to diversify my business, and that has opened so many doors not just in work but also in life.
