Inspiring Conversations with Blake Safford

Today we’d like to introduce you to Blake Safford.

Blake Safford was born and raised in the Orlando, Florida metro area. He attended the University of Central Florida and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Communications. Upon graduating, Blake started his career with ADT corporate as a licensed sales associate. Blake was consistently ranked in the top 1% of production amongst sales associates nationwide and eventually accepted a leadership position as District Sales Manager out of the Orlando Branch.

Blake was then offered a position as Director of Sales for NuView Trust company, a company that specializes in being a custodian for alternative investments held inside retirement accounts such as Real Estate. This role with NuView opened up Blake’s eyes to the fascinating world of Real Estate and Real Estate investments which is what inspired Blake to launch his career in Real Estate and fulfill a lifelong dream of running his own business. Blake’s core values are integrity, mindset, work ethic, passion, and experience. He believes very strongly that achieving any level of success would not be possible without a thorough understanding and belief in these values. Blake hopes one day he will be able to launch his own Real Estate brokerage and help develop and mentor others so they can achieve the same level of success by following his belief in his core values.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. There is a high level of risk in launching any business. The risk is even higher when you have a family of dependents with two young children. But the will to succeed and the belief in oneself to succeed can accomplish anything. You have to train your mind to harness any negative energy or thoughts and turn that into productive aggression towards achieving goals.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I specialize in helping people buy, sell, and invest in Residential real estate. My business is about creating relationships for life with my clients and other Realtors in my market. This can only be possible by meeting and exceeding the expectations my clients have set for the services I can provide to them. I also hold a certification of SFR. This certification allows for me to represent Bank Owned listings and Short Sales. Only 1% of Realtors hold this certification because it is a very hard certification to earn.

How do you think about luck?
My philosophy has always been the harder you work, the luckier you will get. I believe very strongly in the activity equals results. In business, we can’t always control when or how the deals will come in, but we can control day in and day out is the activity we do to get us closer to that next deal.
