Inspiring Conversations with Tali Gallo of The Bridal Finery

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tali Gallo.

Hi Tali, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2005, I was recruited to work at a high-end bridal boutique in Gainesville, FL. After several years running the shop, I was offered a position to oversee the Orlando and Gainesville location. Throughout my time managing the stores, I was able to build relationships with big industry leaders like Ines Di Santo, Oscar De La Renta, and many other reputable brands. We designed annual fashion shows at The Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons. In 2017, the owners decided to sell the business for personal reasons. At the time, I was nine months pregnant and undecided on my next career move. My heart is forever with bridal. From learning dressmaker tricks to providing full-service in-store experiences, I’ve always been driven to be a leader in the bridal industry. I decided to open up my own bridal boutique. As a new mom, I knew support was everything and that included having a right hand. I reached out to my former co-worker, Roberta Noronha, to see if she would join me on the entrepreneurship journey. We both agreed the timing was perfect and it was time to get to work on creating the boutique Orlando brides dream of. We opened our doors in November 2017 to a private boutique space in Winter Park, FL nestled next to the area’s most respected interior designers. Our focus while building The Bridal Finery was clear. We were building a space we could see our friends and family enjoying when it’s their turn to shop for their wedding dress!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We have always had big dreams, but we were okay, taking smaller steps to get there. Being new to the world of entrepreneurship, we were cautious in our decisions. One of our struggles was renting a boutique space we quickly outgrew in the first year. It was important for us to maintain the level of service and to provide a private boutique setting. We were never keen on the idea of brides trying on next to each other. We realized quickly we needed a new space. In February 2020, we rented a second space next door giving us two private suites for our brides. Then, the pandemic hit, which allowed us extra time to build the new space out correctly. When Florida reopened in May, we opened both of our boutiques. Especially during these times, brides love privacy for their bridal appointment. Looking back, we rented a space smaller than our dream; however, it gave us the opportunity to grow slowly and get things in order for the future.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Bridal Finery?
The Bridal Finery specializes in made to order and off the rack wedding dresses. In addition to bridal fashion, the boutique has an extensive collection of bridal jewelry, hairpieces, veils, and bridal robes. What sets us apart is our knowledge and expertise in the field. This is our passion and not a fly-by-night gig. We have dedicated years to building the right relationships and creating an experience like no other. There is always an owner at the boutique ready to help style and find the perfect dress. We are most proud of our brand’s reputation for making the dress shopping process easier and more fun. With all of our experiences, it’s common brides will find their dress within one of the very first dresses they try on.
