Life & Work with Alex Pistorio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Pistorio.

Hi Alex, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My social media journey started years ago, while I worked for a well known top denim retailer! I was a personal stylist for that company and went to manage my own store for a couple of years before becoming a local Orlando personal stylist and focused on more of the social media aspect! I documented my outfits for years for my guests and my Instagram page, but about two years ago, after becoming a mom, I decided to do it as an actual side hobby at the time! I turned my personal Instagram page into a fashion and mom blogger one! I worked on it for about a year just part-time, while being a working mama. Right before lockdowns happened with Covid, I left my job to stay at home with our daughter and decided to pursue my blog full time! It has brought so much joy and passion into my life, as well as many, many amazing connections and relationships!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Blogging and Influencers sometimes get heat from others that may not be fully educated on what goes into behind the scenes. Social media is a fair game for anyone to kind of speak on what they’re feeling how they feel on any subject. It is WAY more than just uploading a cute photo and caption and being done for the day. The stress of behind the scenes of making sure you’re meeting deadlines for brands, engaging enough on your accounts, making sure you’re giving enough of the real YOU and building your brand is a full-time juggling job! BUT if you are passionate about it, and set your own goals to grow, any little struggle or defeat just makes even the smallest of wins worth it! Like landing dream collaborations, hitting goals for your pages, having work recognized, all of those moments make the craziness worth it!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a full-time blogger and influencer that shares about versatile, affordable fashion, mom life and my favorite beauty finds. If I was known for something, I’d like to think it would be my authenticity. I try to 100% be myself on my social media pages. When following a creator online, you’re almost making friends with them, I would want anyone following me to feel like they’re a close friend of mine, so being my real self will give them that feeling! I also strive to make moms feel that even though your day may be full of chasing around kiddo, cleaning, feeding snacks all day, changing diapers, you can still live your most fashionable and best life even in the midst of all of that. Personally, I feel my best doing all of those things in my day to day if I have a little makeup on, and I have a cute outfit (or pajamas, 2021 style) 😉 on! I know not every mom is about putting on makeup or whatever but just whatever makes you feel like your best self, to continue to do that even as a mother. I’m most proud of where I have taken my page. What started out as a hobby for me, has quickly turned into my greatest work passion and watching myself hit goals just keeps me going, PLUS the relationships I’ve gained through the social media community. I have made some of the best girlfriends through this and the best supportive circle I could have dreamed up!

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love how much of a melting pot Orlando is! There’s always something going on, well pre covid, and always someone to meet. When we lived in downtown Orlando, we loved venturing out and trying new places and checking out events around the downtown area. There is so much to do, you can never be bored! what do I like least??? THE TRAFFIC. 😉
