Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Watson.
Hi Brianna, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started as a young girl with a passion for Disney. I had my first visit when I was five and grew up in Maryland. All I can remember is my love for the mouse and as I got older that grew. Once I reached college and found out about the Disney College Program, I knew it was a sign. I did my program in Spring 2012 and it was one of the best experiences of my life. From then on, I knew I wanted to live in Florida so once graduation arrived, I was packed and headed to Orlando to start my Disney Professional Internship. Now here I am… now a Florida Resident, Mother, and Disney-loving adult.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has had its challenges. Upon finishing my program, I stayed with the company up until Covid which made me no longer an employee of the mouse. While it was no one’s fault making magic for Guest was something I did enjoy and miss but I am fortunate to have a job outside of that. Growing my platform started during Covid and has not always been easy but it has helped me evolve into the person I have always wanted to become and share that with others.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
While I do work full-time for a local college, I have been pouring my heart into my social media platforms. I started with Instagram as a way to share my love for the parks but I quickly realized I had so many other passions. I love to travel, being a mom, and style. All combined makes for a world of fun so I decided to launch a blog called Expedition Watson which encompasses all that and ties into my Instagram platform. My focus is on motherhood, Orlando/Florida attractions, Disney style and mommy and me style fun. I think what sets me apart is that I am willing to be the mom that puts herself first. While it may sound selfish, my family is extremely important and rely on me hey I am mom but Mom has her dreams, desires, and goals too. If I feel like I am not reaching for those I cannot be the best mom or wife that I can be. So I put those needs in my top just like everyone else because I DO MATTER TOO.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I am a jack of all trades. Not only am I a mom, wife, nano-influencer but I am also an All Star Cheer Coach. I do this four days a week plus weekends occasionally when we have competitions. It is a passion of mine since I cheered in high school through college. My schedule is busy but I find a way to make it all work.
