Meet Caitlin Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlin Jones.

Ever since she was a little girl, Caitlin was making place cards at holiday dinners and watching ‘Father of the Bride’ one too many times. She fell into this career path as she worked in different areas of the event industry throughout her time in college. In 2011, she graduated from the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College with a Degree in Hospitality Management & a minor in Business Administration. Her passion, commitment & experience in the industry has helped her pursue her dream of building & leading a team of Orlando Wedding Planners.

She has helped clients plan events with as little as 15 guests, all the way up to a vast guest list of over 400. Her portfolio is constantly building, and the title of ‘Celebrity Wedding Planner’ is in her repertoire. Fox35 News Orlando has also featured her as a Certified Wedding Planner & venue expert on Good Day Orlando. Caitlin has since become an active member in some of Orlando’s finest educational groups, including the Orlando Chapter of the National Association of Catering & Events (NACE), and is a Certified Wedding Planner through The Association of Bridal Consultants. She has planned & executed multiple industry events with only her peers & colleagues in attendance. These experiences have made her want to pursue the very best for herself & her clients. Her organizational skills, natural leadership qualities and excitement for events are the hallmarks of Caitlin’s work. When she’s not devoting her time to her clients, she enjoys spending time with her husband & their two dogs, practicing yoga and catching up on her favorite shows! Since she can’t do it alone, Caitlin has taken the time to build a great team of Orlando Wedding Planners, with hospitality at the root of their expertise. Her team is full of women who have calm demeanors, an eye for details and a passion for successful events!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say nothing in life worth having is easy, including owning a business. It has been the most rewarding yet challenging thing I’ve ever done in my life, yet I wouldn’t trade it for anything! There is a constant struggle to gain clients, stand out in a saturated market, everyday business woes, fear of failure and rejection. I have learned so much over the years that have taught me to be a better business owner and leader for my team.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Our team of Orlando Wedding Planners specializes in professionally designing and executing flawless events for a multitude of clients. While we focus mostly on weddings, we do other social events as well. We are most proud of our award-winning service we have provided our clients over the past decade! Our experience, dedication to hospitality and calm demeanors make all the difference on wedding days. We pride ourselves on professional execution (aka NOT having freak-out moments) and customer service for you & your guests.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I couldn’t get through this crazy industry without those closest to me. Find someone that is willing to help you through any stage of your business, who is genuine and will give you real advice anytime you need it. Always be open-minded to making new contacts wherever they may be from, and keep opportunities open. Establish relationships with those who have the same values as you do and it will take you a long way!
