Davely, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It all started with making some cakes to enjoy at home and then I thought about starting as a business. It was a bit hard since I had 1 or 2 orders a month but currently, we sell 25-30 cakes a month, among other Dominican desserts and snacks.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was not easy at all. It is hard work. Many clients only sometimes contribute but there are always clients who value work and that is the impulse to have the strength and fight for dreams.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Sweet Cakes Dominican?
We sell Dominican Cake with meringue or fondant, also Dominican snacks. Prices vary according to the designs of the cakes, portions, fillings. They are very delicious. Currently, we have a very varied menu depending on the activity or birthday that is present. We do all kinds of custom themes. Also for holidays, we offer combos.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
I have a lot of patience when working with many types of clients, learn to persevere in what you want to achieve.
