Meet Siul Yanez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Siul Yanez.

Hi Siul, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
My name is Siul Yanez, I was born in Venezuela, and I moved to Orlando, Florida when I was 15 years old; I am a soccer coach for children between 7 and 9 years old. I started coaching soccer kids because I am passionate about working with them and they teach me new things every day. My goal is to help them go far and achieve their goals. I am one of the youngest coaches in Orlando, starting coaching at 19 years old. I had to make an important decision at that age and choose between continuing to play soccer at the university level or following my passion and doing something I wanted to study, which was graphic design, in 2021, I could graduate as a graphic designer. My coaching career has been noted nationally, and I have been recognized as one of the most titled young coaches in sports. This road has been very long for me since there have been many obstacles that have wanted to stop me, but always with my phrase of “never give up,” I have been able to grow and move forward; I got to where I am thanks to the unconditional support of my family, my partner and certain people who have been there in the good and bad times. Today, I can say that no matter what happens, never give up, there are many obstacles and doors that were closed for me, but God opened another one; remember that everything happens for a reason.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It wasn’t easy. Being an immigrant here closed many doors for me in terms of work, study, and many more opportunities. I have been able to take this path thanks to the support I receive and thanks to not giving up; thinking that there are people who believe in me allows me to move forward

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a soccer coach who trains here in Orlando between children from 7 to 9 years old. I specialize in young children between those ages because I like to train them and be able to help them take the next level in the world of sports. I am known for the work I do, which is the goal I wanted to do when I started, many times there are people who tell me that I am a trophy coach, because most of the tournaments that we are going to compete in we bring one. I am proud right now to think about who I am now and how much I have grown since I started something that at first, I never thought would happen; I always wanted to play and never thought of teaching. I am proud of where I am and of not having given up at any time despite the difficult path. What makes me different from others is that I like to be firm with what I believe, that when something happens my focus stays on move on and not give up and look for a solution. As for sports, I have always liked to learn more every day and be different and be able to improve in what I do.

Alright, so before we go, can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work with me simply by writing, calling, or talking to me in person to work on their technique as a player, as well as collaborate with me; I am a person who is willing to help anyone. I experienced that at the beginning, I was looking for a single opportunity and I was going to take advantage of it to grow, so anyone who wants to collaborate with me, I have no problem listening to what they have to say and giving the opportunity. I feel that supporting me would simply be a follow-up on Instagram, some interaction, some comments, either good or bad, to improve, anything.
