Meet Laramie Otto

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laramie Otto.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my blog, Lifestyle with Laramie, in 2016 as a creative outlet from my 9-5 job. At first, it was just something fun to do but it continued to grow and was always an industry I wanted to work in. I went to school for photography and journalism and my blog is all about lifestyle and fashion, where I showcase all my passions and things I enjoy. In 2020 I made the decision to leave my 9-5 in the middle of the pandemic and focus on my brand and blog full time. I’ve focused more on being a blogging educator and teaching other women how to build a blog they can also monetize.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. For the first four years of blogging, I struggled with finding a balance in life between working 9-5 in an office setting then coming home and working on my blog and trying to have a normal life it was extremely difficult. Again I quit my 9-5 to in the middle of the pandemic to devote all my time to my brand and my blog full time because it was now or never for me and I wanted to give my business a chance and see what I could do. That alone was a hard decision but I wouldn’t change it for anything! I’ve learned so much about myself and my business in the last five months, especially that I want so badly to succeed so I work ten times harder and it’s worth fighting for!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a blogger, blogging educator, and content creator. Lifestyle with Laramie is a blog where I express myself and what I love in life, whether that be fashion, lifestyle, travel and everything in between. I’ve started focusing more on education and teaching women how to build their own blog that they can eventually monetize as well! I’m proud of being a resource for others and sharing my knowledge for blogging and what it takes. I would say what sets me apart most is that I’m a curvy girl blogger sharing inclusive brands and encouraging all women of all shapes and sizes to create a blog and brand that they can have for themselves,

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
When it comes to finding a mentor and networking, I would recommend finding people that you enjoy following and appreciate their work ethic and what they stand for. As someone that has worked with a mentor/business coach, I like to work with people that are where I want to be and I know I can learn from.
