Rising Stars: Meet Nilo A. Henriquez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nilo A. Henriquez.

Nilo A., we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started in Real Estate almost three years ago. I initially got my license to work in a Timeshare resort but then I realized I was not too attracted to that business model. I am a people person and I knew I wanted to help others purchase their dream homes, so I went to work in residential Real Estate instead. My first Brokerage was La Rosa Realty. My wife had a friend that worked there and she invited me to be part of a team she was on. I was there for a few months but only sold three homes until I decided it was time to go solo. I was a solo agent for maybe five months until one day someone that I knew from the barbershop called me to see how my business was going. I was honest and I told him that it could be going better so he invited to his Real Estate team’s meeting that following Tuesday. I went to the meeting and I was very impressed with the way they handled business and how passionate the team leader, Veronica Figueroa, was. I knew from that moment on that that was the team I wanted to be a part of.

In my first year on the team, I sold 33 homes!! Though I am still considered a new agent, I was able to help 33 families find their dream homes. This is what I’ve always wanted to do. From the moment I am put in contact with a family looking for a new home, I work to create a relationship with them. I consider myself a “match maker.” I start by helping my clients with the pre-approval process which tells them how much buying power they have. Once they get pre-approved we start looking for houses. My clients are priority, so I make sure to look for houses that meet their criteria and price points. I’m a service-oriented individual so finding the perfect home for my clients is a huge accomplishment. I enjoy being a part of huge moments in my clients’ life. I don’t consider what I do to be work.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I had some struggles when I left the first team I was on. Being a new agent and going solo was not easy. I didn’t know many people that wanted to buy or sell Real Estate. I only sold four houses at the time I was a single agent.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a Real Estate Agent at EXP Realty, LLC with The Figueroa Team and I specialize in Residential Real Estate. I am proud of the costumer service that I provide my clients day in and day out. I am also proud of being recognized as a leader among my peers and my team. I felt honored to be a top selling agent for the months of June, October, November and December of 2020. One of the things I am most proud of is that I get to help my fellow colleagues. Like any new agent that enters the Real Estate business it can be overwhelming learning all the aspects of the business. I enjoy helping new agents with client showings, MLS training, and writing contracts.
