Rising Stars: Meet Tara McCarty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tara McCarty.

Hi Tara, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was in my senior year of High School when I felt a tug on my heart to start my blog,, and start sharing my passion for fashion as well as my life with others! I always knew it could turn into something more than a little hobby, but never thought it would be me that would be working with brands and having the opportunity to be networking with these insanely cool people. As a couple of years went on (and a few bumps in the road) I decided to transition to a health and fitness focus. As an eating disorder survivor, a lover of fitness and a woman’s health advocate – I felt that is where I was supposed to be.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Like most things in life, it’s never an easy smooth road. I like to call the first couple of years of blogging the honeymoon phase, I was landing big partnerships, networking with amazing people and I was on the high of being able to share my knowledge of fashion while helping people find their style that I wasn’t ready to plateau. Algorithms changed and things slowed down for a while, I was also struggling with health problems that I wasn’t ready to share yet. After a rough year, I got back on my feet and that was when I decided to change from briefly mentioning/sharing my health story to the shift of that being the focus. Which happens to be the moment I finally pushed through that plateau. Just shows to listen to your gut and always be yourself!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a blogger, fitness & woman’s health advocate + a content creator. As a content creator you wear a lot of hats, from creating the ideas, planning out the content, writing the blogs/captions and shooting the photos and videos. My brand’s focus is all about woman’s health — as a woman who struggles with PCOS, a past ED and body imagine, health is everything. For me health means, physical health, mental health, a good relationship with food and so much more and as a certified fitness instructor, I love sharing as much as I can to help others as well as share my story. I’m proud to have created a community of people who truly care and are on a path of creating their healthiest selves.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Keep going – It’s going to be tough and won’t always be easy! Some days you’ll wake up and want to give up but you have to push through because that’s what makes you stronger. Something I was extremely grateful to have starting out was a business coach, she pushed me on those hard days and guided me through this crazy world of an influencer.
