Rising Stars: Meet Yirett Clemente

Today we’d like to introduce you to Yirett Clemente.

Hi Yirett, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. I graduated from Nuevas Profesiones University, major in Advertising and Marketing. During the completion of my degree, I noticed the passion that I have for photography and the art involved. I slowly started taking pictures for fun, specifically of animals and especially butterflies. Suddenly, during that moment, friends and family started seeing my work and then, they asked me to take pictures of them as well and that’s how it started. Later on, I noticed that I have the potential to do portrait photos, and that’s been one of my top strengths in photography. I love what I do and the memories that I can create with just a single click. Overall this journey, I have learned and I suggest to everyone wanting to get involved in this industry is that consistency plays a huge role.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been an easy road, but it has not been difficult either. In the beginning, it is a slow process, but due to the experience that I have earned, I consider that the key to everything is to be constant. Photography takes time, and it is a world of innovation. You constantly have to be learning about the new and experimenting to create good pieces of art. Currently, the most important/difficult obstacle I have experienced is Covid-19. I think that for most people, it is something that changed everyone’s life, I learned to deal with the situation and I believe that I can adapt to the present. It was a year full of many expectations and doubts but I can truly say that I achieved many goals despite the circumstances.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I do professional photography. My main focus is in portrait photography. I like the style of magazine photography and the definition of art expressed. I am known for the portraits that I do, the colors that characterize my photographic style and the retouch I give. I am very proud of all the art that I bring to people and where I am today. Also, I am very grateful for everything, mainly for being surrounded by people who support and love me every day. What distinguishes me from others, it is the concept that my photography gives. I dedicate myself to capture the exact moment and the essence of people which leads to achieving incredible photographs.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
My advice to all people starting in photography or in another area is that the key to everything is perseverance and being patient, the road is long, and it can feel slow, but it will always be worth it. We must not doubt our steps and we must always move forward to fulfill our dreams.
