Today we’d like to introduce you to Zoe Mc.
Hi Zoe, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, I graduated from the regency beauty industry in 2012. Three years into my career, I opened my own salon, it thrived for six years until I found out I had breast cancer after deciding to close my salon & home to finished treatment and decided a new start was needed. I was hoping to make new friends and clientele, but unfortunately for the entire nation, Covid hit us, Shutting every salon down. Having just gone through Chemo, I had zero choices but to stay home. My life depended on it. I ended up having to rent my home out and start all over once more. I want to stay educated and keep pushing through all the struggles thrown at me!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
None of it has been smooth lol and all I can do is cry, scream and try again.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a Hairstylist and cosmetic tattoo artist. I specifically love creative color vibrant colors such as pink, green (unicorn colors), anything that challenges me as an artist. I love all of the cosmetic tattooing anything I do. I do it with my all. It’s important for me to make others feel good about themselves. You never know someone’s situation and how they are feeling. There truly isn’t a better feeling than lifting others up.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I grew up in an abusive home. I was constantly trying to escape as a child into my teen years. I left when I was 14, living on the streets or sneaking into friend’s homes. I’m Sure it built character. People would say I’m funny with a giant heart.
