Today we’d like to introduce you to Joivan Jiménez.
Hi Joivan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Joivan “Alexander” Jimenez began doing football trick shots when he was 9 years old. His trick shot videos have garnished millions of views all over social media, and have even been featured on ESPN’s Sports Center. His first video gained popularity when he placed a gatorade bottle on top of his cousins head and he hit the bottle from 20 yards away. When they re did the bottle with his mom, they entitled it, “I Trust My Son” Challenge that led to a global avalanche of parents doing the Challenge all over the world, and more than 40 million views later.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a Quarterback has been a challenge. His first QB coach passed away in a drastic accident. Traveling to practices and hour and a half away two to three times a week is also a challenge. Social media fame, also comes with a lot of negativity, a lot of haters. But it’s worth it!
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am an 11 year old Quarterback, but also a football influencer. I use my trick shot videos to be a light and an example to many kids my age.
What’s next?
I plan on one day signing a Division 1 scholarship to play football. I want to one day also become a Physical Therapist to help kids and athletes that get hurt. I hope to one day play in the NFL and use it as a platform to help people, kids and families in need.
On may 31 im hosting a Free Youth Football camp in Ocala,FL to bring awareness for Childhood Cancer. With my big bro Geron Christian offensive Lineman for the cleveland browns.
