Check Out Luna Moon’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Luna Moon.

Hi Luna, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My professional journey began in the Chicago suburbs, where I developed an ambition beyond the traditional nine-to-five career. I pursued this ambition through cosplaying at Chicago-area comic conventions, complemented by studies at the Area Career Center’s Multimedia Broadcasting Academy and dance training at the Academy of Performing Arts in Northwest Indiana. My extracurricular activities included seven years of competitive sports and over five years of participation in Science Olympiad.

I found significant inspiration in the professional success of renowned cosplayers like Yayahan absolutely love her, motivating me to pursue a livelihood aligned with my passion. My cosplay convention attendance expanded geographically, encompassing Illinois, Indiana, and northern states. While I enjoy portraying diverse characters from video games and anime, I discovered my niche within the Halloween and horror community, achieving recognition as a leading horror cosplayer in the region.

I committed to pursuing videography and content creation professionally. My passion for themed entertainment, particularly theme parks and Halloween Horror Nights, prompted my relocation to Central Florida. After attending Halloween Horror Nights for over five years, I recognized the advantages and how beneficial it would be of permanent residency. I moved just prior to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and subsequently developed my original cosplay character, Sweetheart Witch, for which I am now widely known.

Sweetheartwitch is a distinctive character. This character served as an alter ego, representing my aspiration to make a significant positive impact on the world. She embodies inclusivity, extending love to all communities and walks of life, and maintaining a positive outlook regardless of daily challenges.

My character’s first home was in downtown Orlando, at a place called Cocktails and Screams. It is an all year round Halloween-themed bar and establishment that significantly contributed to my career development. Now, in 2025, many of you know me as a travel influencer who showcases themed locations across the United States. You may recognize my character from various TikTok videos, some of which have garnered millions of views. Also, starting in 2025, some of you may have seen me modeling for Killstar clothing. I truly appreciate this opportunity and am grateful for the experience.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My career progression has presented significant challenges. However, this journey has been instrumental in shaping my character and resilience. Over the past seven years, I have dedicated myself to developing my channel on Thereallunamoon and Sweetheartwitch, two significant projects with a substantial social media presence. This endeavor has demanded significant personal investment, but I wouldn’t change it. I am now experiencing exciting new opportunities and am incredibly grateful for the progress made. I am so blessed to be part of this community, and I am particularly appreciative of invitations to events such as Halloween Horror Nights media night, VIP events, collaborative engagements for Killstar, and many more opportunities I once considered unattainable.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a content creator specializing in promoting brands, products, places, and events. I have a dedicated subscription base online to subscribe to me and my work for fans and followers. I currently model for Killstar clothing, a brand I greatly admire. I am also an online influencer specializing in themed locations across the United States. In addition to my current role, I also hold a part-time position and have experience in numerous themed entertainment and character-based venues.
My cosplay character, Sweetheart Witch, is well-known around the states and helps promote businesses, particularly at horror, Halloween, and anime conventions. I am very proud to have reached 160,000 followers this year and equally proud to be a homeowner in my twenties. I believe my fiery red hair and my fiery red passionate personality help in setting me apart from others.

What were you like growing up?
My upbringing was primarily influenced by my father and grandfather, fostering a tomboyish nature. My interests included WWE, Grand Theft Auto (on Xbox and PS2), halo and an enthusiastic engagement with costuming and dressing up. My grandmother cultivated my passion for dance, culminating in my participation in the Academy of Performing Arts. My mother’s influence fostered an interest in fashion, a significant factor in my subsequent modeling work for Killstar. My father’s gift of a video camera when I was young fueled my early filmmaking pursuits, showcasing a creative spirit. My grandfather’s provision of art by buying me blank canvases and a paint brush motivated me to create which further encouraged my artistic expression. While my childhood presented challenges due to my parents’ divorce and less-than-ideal living circumstances, I remain grateful for the experiences that shaped my development. Truly grateful for my grandfather who helped guide me when I went through a very challenging time. He helped me remain rich in my heart and wellbeing when we were quite far from that. I wish he was here today to see how far I’ve come due to his encouragement on doing what I love in this life.
