Today we’d like to introduce you to Janelle Woods.
Hi Janelle, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My story really starts with intention. I’ve always been someone who loved helping others and creating memorable experiences, whether that was through my work in the legal space or just planning a great trip or event for family and friends. For a long time, I was behind the scenes—raising my kids, managing my business, and doing what needed to be done. But I started to realize there was a deeper calling to share the beauty, the lessons, and even the humor in everyday life.
That’s when content creation found me. My husband and I started sharing bits of our life—funny skits, travel highlights, and honest moments that people really resonated with. It felt natural, and it started to grow. From brand collaborations to curated itineraries, my love for storytelling and organization merged into something powerful.
Now, I create travel content that inspires others to explore the world with intention, I host events that bring people together in meaningful ways, and I still help others navigate life through my legal document business. My journey hasn’t been linear, but it’s been guided by passion, service, and a whole lot of faith.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not a smooth road—but it’s been worth every bump. One of the biggest challenges was learning how to juggle multiple roles: mom, wife, entrepreneur, content creator, and everything in between. There were seasons where I felt like I was giving everything to everyone else and leaving very little for myself.
Another struggle was stepping into visibility. I’ve always had a strong voice, but putting myself out there on social media, in videos, and at events took some serious unlearning of perfectionism and self-doubt. I had to get comfortable with the idea that growth doesn’t always look polished—and that’s okay.
Financially and emotionally, transitioning from a secure career to pursuing creative and entrepreneurial work full-time was a leap of faith. There were moments I questioned everything. But I kept showing up, kept creating, and trusted that the consistency would pay off—and it has.
Every challenge pushed me to refine my vision, trust my instincts, and most importantly, make space for joy along the way.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a content creator, event host, travel curator, and freelance paralegal—but at the core, I’m a storyteller and community builder. I specialize in creating relatable content that blends everyday humor, real-life moments, and helpful tips—whether I’m sharing travel itineraries, relationship skits with my husband, or lifestyle content that encourages people to pause and enjoy life a little more.
As a travel creator, I’m known for sharing honest and practical travel content—things like Steal My Itinerary or Here’s How Much I Spent—to show people that travel can be both magical and manageable. I also host in-person events like Vibe & LinkUp, a networking mixer designed to help creatives connect, collaborate, and grow with intention.
On the legal side, I work as a freelance paralegal through JW Legal Documents, where I prepare documents in areas like estate planning, family law, and real estate. It’s a side of my work that keeps me grounded in service and reminds me that access to legal support can truly change lives.
What sets me apart is the way I blend information, inspiration, and authenticity in every space I enter. Whether I’m online or in person, I show up as myself—and I think that’s what people connect with most. I’m especially proud of the community I’ve built—one that values laughter, purpose, and connection.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see a lot of shifts happening in both of my industries—content creation and freelance legal support—and I’m excited to be a part of the change.
On the content side, I think we’re going to see a continued move toward authenticity and niche influence. People are less impressed by perfectly curated content and more drawn to creators who show up as real, relatable, and resourceful. I also see travel content expanding beyond luxury and wanderlust—it’s becoming more about intentional travel, cultural immersion, and helping people build meaningful experiences, not just Instagrammable moments.
Events are also evolving. It’s not just about gathering people in a space—it’s about curating connection, building community, and offering value. Small, themed experiences like Vibe & LinkUp will continue to grow because people are craving intimacy, intentional networking, and real-life collaboration.
In the legal space, I think the freelance paralegal industry will continue to rise as more people seek affordable, accessible support without going through traditional law firms. Technology will continue to streamline how we prepare documents and interact with clients, but I think the personal touch—being able to explain things clearly and compassionately—will always be a major asset.
Whether online or offline, I believe people are looking for real value, real people, and real help—and I plan to keep showing up in all those ways.
