Exploring Life & Business with Lamont Jacob of Full Stereo Films, The Jacob Institute of Athletics and the kids are Tomorrow Barber Program

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lamont Jacob.

Hi Lamont, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
It started pretty much as a youth, I started off in the entertainment business at the age of 9, Impersonating Michael Jackson at colleges around NYC. I Fell in love with the sport of baseball around the same time. my mother couldn’t understand my love for playing this game but it went from my late grandfather buying me my first glove to me having every piece of equipment down to catchers gear. By the time I was 17 and being a knucklehead teenager, I stopped playing baseball but fortunately me and my brother hooked up with a schoolmate and formed a group , we were the dancers which was huge at this time around the year 92-93. after splitting up due to parents moving away and then reconnecting a few years later , The singer got a recording deal and we started touring around the United States. I fast forward 10-15 years later i caught the performing and acting bug and started pursuing my own career in entertainment where as I started appearing in motion pictures and television specials. I always had a love and that led me to today where I run my own baseball non profit organization, I have a film production entity and a nonprofit organization that teaches young teens how to become professional barbers

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been and it still isn’t. But looking at it all , I believe that is what makes it so challenging yet fun, because no matter how bad things look , they always work themselves out eventually

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Full Stereo Films, The Jacob Institute of Athletics and the kids are Tomorrow Barber Program?
My baseball organization gives a great opportunity to players that aren’t as fortunate as others to be provided the resources to practice and play the game of baseball, not only just play but they get to travel and play against top programs across the us at a minimal cost to their families. My film company creates platforms for young actors and directors and producers to express their experiences and scripts to the world. My Barber program helps young men become pillars of society, it gives them a vision of what can be of their future

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see more visionaries expressing themselves in film.
