My journey began in humble circumstances—I was raised in a single-parent home, where I quickly learned that challenges, though tough, can also be powerful lessons. From an early age, I vowed to break the cycle of adversity and build a life defined by resilience, trust, and unwavering commitment.
Everything changed when I met Dr. Sakeisha Hylick. Over 31 years together—and 26 years of marriage—we made an early promise: divorce was never an option. Instead, we committed ourselves to a shared mission of transforming our lives and the lives of countless couples facing similar struggles. Our personal trials—overcoming financial setbacks, rebuilding trust, and learning to balance business, family, faith, and finances—ignited a passion to help others break free from unproductive patterns.
Together, we launched initiatives like Marriage Can Win, a transparent journey detailing our path to overcoming adversity and remaining victorious in our marriage. Our work soon expanded to include TV production, speaking engagements, and coaching—each platform offering proven systems that empower couples to thrive spiritually, emotionally, and financially. We became known as trusted Marriage/Relationship Strategists, Multi-Award winning TV producers and talk show host, authors, and John Maxwell Certified Coaches, dedicated to equipping couples with the tools to create life-long change.
Our vision grew even stronger when we co-founded Ultimately Y.O.U. and developed programs such as the Marriage Can Win Academy and the Business Institute for couples seeking balance in every aspect of life. From hosting engaging podcasts and TV shows to leading impactful summits, our journey has been about inspiring others to choose transformation over stagnation.
Now, I am in the process of developing a streaming TV network called Build Network TV, along with Build Network Training Programs. These initiatives are designed to empower individuals, families, and businesses to build enduring legacies through positive entertainment, actionable financial education, and transformative content. Build Network aims to inspire holistic growth by focusing on business development, strengthening marriages, family building, and cultivating generational wealth. By blending live-streamed content in gaming, eSports, and entertainment with interactive educational programming, Build Network delivers a dynamic platform for viewers to engage with a wide range of subjects—including sports, family-driven content, personal development, and practical life skills—all aligned with our vision of creating legacy-driven content.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, the road definitely hasn’t been smooth. Growing up in a single-parent home, I learned early that challenges were inevitable, and those experiences shaped my resilience. Along the way, my wife and I faced financial setbacks, moments of uncertainty, and the constant struggle to balance business, family, faith, and finances. There were times when rebuilding trust—both in our relationship and in ourselves—felt like an uphill battle. However, each challenge became a steppingstone, teaching us invaluable lessons and ultimately fueling our passion to help others overcome similar struggles. Every obstacle we encountered has helped us refine our approach, proving that even the toughest roads can lead to incredible growth and lasting transformation and God will never leave us nor forsake us.
