Conversations with Sean Gogan

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sean Gogan.

Hi Sean , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I Founded and Created my Party Company “Magical Memories Character Events” back in 2016 in west palm beach Florida, then in 2018, after years of pursuing his dream of working at Disney, I was hired as attractions cast member at Kilimanjaro Safaris, My exceptional performances quickly earned me numerous Cast Compliments, and soon after, I auditioned and was cast as a Face Character performer at The Walt Disney Company. I had the incredible opportunity to portray classic princes and characters in parades, shows, and meet-and-greets at Walt Disney World Resort.

While also working at Disney I was cast at Universal Studios Orlando and Seaworld Orlando as a Character Performer for multiple Parades, Shows, Meet & Greest portraying multiple different character from the Sesame Street Brand to DreamWorks & Illuminations.

Driven by my passion for character performing, I continued to seek new opportunities to share my craft with audiences. In an effort to spread more magic.

I re-opened Magical Memories Character Events, with the mission of bringing joy and wonder to families and communities in need of a little extra magic.

I run this company Solly off passion and dedication to the arts and performing and I hope my passion shines through to everyone we make magic happen for.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This has defiantly not been an easy road. I have had to open and close my company down 3 time, due to either work conflictions or living situations. But I knew I have always wanted to keep my passion alive and would keep finding a way to do what I love and make it my way job. Work isn’t “work” if you love and enjoy what you do. Because of my passion I have sacrificed a lot to be able to do what makes me happy. If you are happy, you will make others happy. That is what I aim to achieve to make the world happier place.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
From a young age, I have had a deep passion for performing and acting, a love that has been the driving force in his life. Throughout high school, I was heavily involved in musical theater, performing in a wide range of productions that helped refine my skills and solidify my dedication to the craft. After graduating from Palm Beach Central High School in 2011, I continued to fuel my passion for the stage.

I was cast as Claude in Hair The musical, Bert in Mary Poppins, Donkey In Shrek, Tarzan in Tarzan the Muscal and many others. I learned all aspects of theater from acting to being a director and building & set designing shows.

I expanded my theatrical career by performing in regional and community theaters across South and Central Florida. In addition, I founded my own theater company in West Palm Beach called Maplewood Playhouse, where i could pass on my knowledge and create amazing live theater, while growing and nurturing the thriving theater community and Yong actors through the Young Arts Conservatory. My versatility and ability to bring characters to life on stage earned me recognition in the local theater community. I also ventured into film, appearing in movies like Goosebumps and TV series such as Bloodline and Hoke.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
My number 1 is always passion. if you don’t have a passion for something it will show to everyone.
you must be passionate in what you do to believe in the ability to succeed. Because if you are passionate and you believe others will believe in you and help you succeed.
