Hi Lymaris, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
In 2020 during the pandemic like many others my business suffered greatly. Many of my clients could no longer afford my services, but my bills still needed to be paid, and my three children still needed many things. I felt strained and didn’t know what way to turn then I found a group on Facebook Coup0ning for beginners. I felt like a child learning how to ride a bike so many different stores apps coupon deals for the longest time I just scrolled through the group and took notes. One day I felt ready to try to coupon myself I downloaded the CVS app I clipped the coupons in the app, and I went to the store. I was so excited to do my first deal, and it worked out great. I continued to coupon at CVS for a year before learning other stores. Once I felt confident enough in my knowledge, I started helping others in the group learn how to coupon. I opened up my Instagram in 2023 marisdealss where I share my deals and finds with my followers. Couponing has changed my life in many ways it helped me save money during a time of need. Now I am able to donate items to others in my community, I help my family members, and I teach others how to save. I feel fulfilled and happy to have found something I love and have the opportunity to share with others. As a mom I get how hard things are right now that is why I dedicate my time to helping others like me.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. I have gone to stores and have had deals planned out that just did not work. I felt embarrassed and confused didn’t understand what I did wrong. I never gave up I came back home and looked over my receipts until I figured out where I went wrong. I am a better couponer for it.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am self-employed I run a business with my husband I am also a mother of three I work from home while taking care of my children. I am also in school to finish my degree. I also run my social media pages and create couponing content.
