Ariel, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I have journeyed along a road of mountains and cliffs, falling off a few times only to pick myself back up and keep moving forward. I was a high school dropout who climbed above the mountain peaks of life. The view is beautiful!
I am a personal branding photographer, former design business owner, and certified StoryBrand coach dedicated to helping women align their inner truth with their outward image. With 25 years in the design field and 5 years in professional photography, I focus on helping women reclaim visibility through authentic visual storytelling.
A survivor of abuse and eating disorders, I bring deep empathy and personal insight to my work. My mission is to help women stop performing and start being seen, but we must first begin by seeing ourselves. Through my camera’s lens and a compassionate environment, I capture what perfection hides—and reveal what makes us unforgettable, authentically YOU.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Struggles are many, and the journey of life is bumpy. Challenges growing up in an extremely dysfunctional family. learning coping skills that slowly kill the heart and soul. My teens and 20s were filled with Bulimia, low self-worth, an abusive husband, and two little princesses. I was determined to give them better, more. Not having a clue what that was or how to get there. Followed by years of testing the “truths” of every aspect of my life and beliefs,
I spent many years learning to identify the lies and take them to the garbage bin of my mind, opening up room for beauty and love. Frankly, that inner work is never done, just gets easier to see and move beyond.
Back to college and began my career in design and drafting. to provide for my children and the ones to come. I now have 4 children and have been married a few times, every step brings new insights and lessons. Learning to thrive despite it all. Sexual abuse, assault, and pain, lots of pain, fear, uncertainty, and horror. There is a life of inner joy on the other side of it all, we just have to keep fighting until we see. I honestly stood in the way as my own biggest obstacle. The inner war is real.

I dance between what is and what could be. My work has always lived at the intersection of creativity, purpose, and service. For decades, I helped hundreds of homeowners design spaces they love—collaborating with architects, engineers, and custom home builders to bring visions to life. As a Historic Design Consultant in a small southern town, I protected architectural heritage by authoring a City Pattern Book and training boards to recognize and honor the charm of late 1800s and early 1900s homes. That project unexpectedly launched my journey into photography—I needed a “real” camera to do the job well, and from that moment, I was hooked.
Photography became a way to reclaim creative control. In design, budget cuts or overlooked details could shift the outcome. But through a lens, I could fully shape the story. During COVID, that lens became a lifeline—helping me process the unknown through nature, abstraction, and architecture.
Somewhere between the structure of my past and the fluidity of a new chapter, I fell in love with photographing people, especially women in business. I now help women align their internal clarity with their external image—so their branding feels like home. I’m proud of the trust they place in me.
Along the way, I’ve also served immigrant communities, learned another language, and watched my worldview shift through cultures built on mutual care and collective values. Those years grew my heart in ways I never expected.
Now in my 50s, I see life differently. Time feels more precious. I’m less concerned with perfection and more drawn to what’s real. Street photography cracked something open in me—it taught me to really see. That presence, curiosity, playfulness, and courage to capture the truth now infuse all my work.
I specialize in working with women in transition—women who have lived full, rich lives and are ready for what’s next. Through tailored photography experiences and intimate retreats, I help them reconnect with their worth, gain clarity of purpose, and align their marketing message with who they truly are and who they’re meant to serve.
It’s a magical blend of visual storytelling and strategic messaging—a fusion of image and language that brings their brilliance to life. With a masterplan view of how it all fits together—websites, campaigns, content—I get to help women not only see how beautiful they are, but also share that sparkle with the world.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Humor side… I can talk like Donald Duck, well, a more female version. Quacks people up.
Ariel is a name that means, in Hebrew, Lioness of God. I took it as a nickname in my 20s to help me anchor the reality that I needed to be a lioness for my lion cubs. I needed the strength and support of God to survive those years. So that combination was a name, a reminder of Godly purpose and power. And that he sees and will help me through anything.
