Marya, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
In 2009, a determined woman arrived in Central Florida from Colombia with a dream and a deep love for beauty. She didn’t know English, but she carried with her a rich skillset, a cosmetology education from Colombia, and an unshakable work ethic. That woman is my mother, and her journey is the foundation of our salon.
Shortly after arriving, she began the process of transferring her credentials to obtain her Florida cosmetology license. It wasn’t easy, but she remained focused and passionate. Once licensed, she started working on commission at a local hair salon. Despite the language barrier, her talent and warmth spoke louder than words. One by one, she built her clientele through word of mouth—her clients not only admired her work but appreciated her sincerity and dedication.
A few years later, with a growing base of loyal clients, she took a leap of faith and began renting a small space in Leesburg. Her client list continued to expand, and eventually, she outgrew that space too. Then came a special opportunity—an ideal location became available in Downtown Leesburg. She embraced it and opened the doors to our very own salon, which we’ve now called home for almost nine years.
Today, our salon stands as a welcoming space for everyone. We are more than just a salon; we are a place where family is welcome and each customer is valued. My mother built this place with heart, hard work, and resilience, and I (thalia ) am honored to continue growing this legacy alongside her and my two sister Aileen and Cheyla
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Language barriers, limited resources, and starting from scratch in a new country were major challenges. Building a clientele with little English, adapting to a new culture, and managing the business side without much guidance took strength and perseverance, but every struggle made us stronger and more united as a family and business.

At our salon, we specialize in color services, and transformations that help women feel confident and beautiful. We’re known for creating natural-looking extensions and healthy, long-lasting results using high-quality products and techniques tailored to each client. What sets us apart is the personalized experience,we truly get to know our clients, treat them like family, and make sure they leave feeling heard, cared for, and radiant.
I’m most proud of the trust we’ve built in our community over the years. Seeing women come in feeling unsure and leave glowing with confidence is what drives our passion every single day.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5–10 years, I see the beauty industry becoming even more personalized and education-focused. Clients are more informed and looking for services that not only enhance their beauty but also protect the health of their hair and scalp. There’s a growing demand for clean, sustainable products and techniques that prioritize long-term hair health.
Extensions and color will continue to evolve with more natural, seamless looks and faster, more efficient methods. Technology and social media will play a big role, giving stylists more tools to educate, connect, and grow. I believe salons that focus on genuine relationships, education, and innovation will stand out the most.
