Today we’d like to introduce you to Forrest Rigdon.
Hi Forrest, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a 29 year old music producer in Orlando, Fl.
Started producing music on a laptop in 2018.
Now I am regularly writing and releasing Electronic Dance Music under the moniker Hurting Murphy. I’ve slowly worked up to several thousand followers across all platforms and have about 5,000 monthly listeners on Spotify. Much more on Soundcloud.
I’ve had the privilege to play more local shows than I can count and a handful of out of state shows.
My younger brother Jaxon, who goes by the stage name Jaxon Pryce is a hip hop artist/singer/songwriter. I do all of his production. On a weekly basis we get together and make music. Recently we’ve been collaborating so often that we’ve decided to venture onto our new project which will be called FROJAX. This is the name people will remember forever. Coming this year.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Adversity and challenges is what make us who we are. I struggled with drug addiction for many years leading up to my clean date 5/1/2018.
I am raising two kids, a family of 4 and doing my best to support the household while my brother and I hustle toward our dreams. Fortunately I happen to be a good salesperson and have thrived at my health insurance sales position. This I am grateful for.
My brother has a chronic illness that he’s dealt with for the better part of a decade and many challenges have come our way.
Not one to complain though. relatively speaking, we have it incredibly good.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Forrest Rigdon LLC?
Aside from the music, I do Health and Life insurance full time. Self employed and independent agent. Top agent at the Agency I am contracted with.
In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
With music I see myself being a full time performer and creator before 2027. The biggest shift will be the influence of AI on music. However, this new technology will affect everything. I remain optomistic.
