Today we’d like to introduce you to Trey DelGreco.
Hi Trey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My first career was in medical device sales, working hard to excel in a competitive industry. But over time, a question kept tugging at me: Was I truly making a difference? I wanted to sell something people genuinely needed—something that could change lives, not just outcomes.
That desire led me to the mortgage industry. It wasn’t just about rates or paperwork—it was about home. Stability. Wealth-building. The American dream. My very first closing was with a first-time homebuyer who was overwhelmed with gratitude. Their joy, their relief, their sense of hope—it lit something in me. I was hooked.
Over the next seven years, I poured everything I had into this work. I helped families get into homes they never thought possible. I grew, I learned, and I was fortunate enough to earn President’s Club status. But more importantly, I was surrounded by people who believed in me—who challenged and supported me—and showed me just how blessed I truly am.
There were hard days. There were setbacks. But nothing compares to the fulfillment of helping others achieve something as foundational as a home. And doing all of that while helping build eight Movement Schools across the country—that’s something I’ll always hold close to my heart.
Today, I serve as the Market Leader for Movement Mortgage in Orlando. And we’re here with a mission: to bring a Movement School to this city. My wife Stefanie, and our boys—Davis, Bradley, and Luca—are my constant source of purpose. They remind me every day why I lead, and why this work matters.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
If there’s one thing I’ve learned in this business, it’s that change is the only constant. Guidelines shift. Markets swing. Strategies evolve. Nothing stays still for long—and adapting to that reality hasn’t always been easy. But it’s necessary.
To truly serve our clients, we have to do more than just keep up—we have to stay ahead. Sometimes that means refining our processes or challenging the standard way of doing things. Other times, it means helping people understand needs they didn’t even know they had. Either way, growth isn’t optional. It’s the job.
I’ve spent entire weekends getting clients pre-approved, only to lose them over something as small as fifty dollars. Sometimes there’s a good reason. Sometimes it stings. But even when they choose another path, I remind myself: I still showed up. I still served.
This work has brought me to tears—both in disappointment and in solidarity. I’ve cried with clients when things didn’t go the way they hoped. I’ve lost sleep over deals, over decisions, over stress—whether it was my fault or not.
This industry demands thick skin. But more than that, it demands heart. And resolve. Because if you’re going to do it well, you can’t just be tough—you have to care deeply, even when it hurts.
And I do.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
As the Market Leader for Movement Mortgage in Orlando, my role goes far beyond originating home loans—it’s about making a lasting impact. At Movement, we operate under a corporate culture we call Impact Lending, because we believe our work should serve a greater purpose. We’re not just here to close transactions; we’re here to change lives.
Our mission is simple but profound: to love and value people by leading a movement of change within our industry, our corporate culture, and the communities we serve. We live out that mission in tangible ways—through substantial financial giving and by building fully funded charter schools in underserved areas across the country.
My responsibility is to bring that mission to life here in Orlando. And one day, I hope to see a Movement School built in our city—a place where education, opportunity, and hope intersect for generations to come.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have mentors who’ve shaped not just my career, but the person I strive to be.
Jennifer Micklos has been my mentor in this business for the past eight years—and she also happens to be my sister-in-law. Watching her lead with excellence, integrity, and heart has set the standard for me. Much of my success has come from simply trying to be a little more like her every day.
Jonathan Garrick has played a key role in developing my leadership potential. Through both challenges and victories, he’s continued to invest in me, helping me grow into a better version of myself—with accountability, encouragement, and wisdom.
And Casey Crawford has led by example from the very top. His vision and the way he lives it out have shown all of us what it truly means to be an impactful leader—one who leads with purpose, humility, and boldness.
I’m grateful to each of them for the influence they’ve had on my journey. Their impact continues to shape the way I lead, serve, and grow.
