Meet Erin Eilers of TITUSVILLE

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erin Eilers.

Hi Erin, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The Story of Eilers HR
Eilers HR was founded with a simple but powerful mission: to bring expert, high-impact HR solutions to businesses that need strategic support without the overhead of a full-time hire. After 25 years of experience in human resources—spanning healthcare, senior living, manufacturing, research, legal, and multi-site operations—Erin Eilers recognized a recurring and frustrating theme: too many C-suite leaders underestimated the value of HR.

As an in-house HR Director, Erin often found herself trying to demonstrate how effective HR isn’t just about compliance or paperwork—it’s a force multiplier that drives culture, reduces turnover, boosts productivity, and protects the business. But too often, the leadership simply didn’t want to listen. After leaving her last corporate role, she made a decision: no more convincing executives who weren’t interested. Instead, she would build a consultancy around partnering with leaders who do see HR as a strategic advantage.

With a Master of Science in Employment Law and a PHR credential held since 2006, Erin launched Eilers HR in 2022 to help business owners, founders, and executive teams that value their people and want to build compliant, healthy workplaces where both the business and its employees can thrive.

What began as a solo venture quickly became a sought-after service for companies needing reliable HR expertise without the corporate baggage. From breaking out of restrictive PEOs to building HR functions from scratch, Eilers HR has become known for its calm, capable, and candid approach. Clients trust Erin to tell them what they need to hear—not just what’s easy—and to help them get it done.

How It’s Going
Today, Eilers HR is thriving. We support clients throughout Florida and across the U.S., offering fractional HR leadership, compliance support, employee relations expertise, and practical HR infrastructure. Erin continues to speak and present on employment law and HR strategy, and she proudly serves on multiple nonprofit boards and business alliances.

The future of Eilers HR is focused and intentional: working only with businesses that believe HR isn’t a burden, but a competitive edge. We’re not here to check boxes—we’re here to help teams and businesses grow, the right way.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Has It Been a Smooth Road?
Not entirely—and that’s part of what makes Eilers HR different.

The hardest part hasn’t been doing the work. The work—helping businesses navigate complex employment laws, resolving personnel issues, building systems that support growth—that’s where Eilers HR thrives. The challenge has been getting the message out: helping small business owners understand what fractional HR is and how powerful it can be.

Many business owners are still “doing their own HR” or delegating it to someone wearing too many hats. They assume they can’t afford expert-level HR support—or worse, that they don’t need it until something goes wrong. But the truth is, failing to follow employment laws can be incredibly costly, even business-ending.

That’s why Eilers HR exists: to provide experienced, strategic HR leadership on a fractional basis—a cost-effective model that gives companies the benefit of a seasoned HR partner without the full-time expense. The road has had its share of misconceptions and education curves, but every success story reinforces the mission: when business owners understand the value of doing HR right, their business and people thrive.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
What sets me apart is my common-sense approach. I don’t believe in overcomplicating things or offering cookie-cutter solutions. HR should protect the business, support its people, and align with its goals. That means I listen—really listen—to my clients and craft solutions that are both legally sound and operationally realistic. I’m known for being a problem solver, someone who can step in quickly, assess a situation, and offer actionable options—even in high-stakes or sensitive situations.

I’m most proud of the trust I’ve built with business owners who felt overwhelmed, confused, or burned by HR in the past. Helping them gain clarity, feel confident in their compliance, and build a workplace where people want to stay—that’s the win. And I’m proud to be a partner who brings not just expertise, but a calm, practical voice in the chaos.

One size never fits all in HR. That’s why my approach is always tailored, always grounded, and always focused on helping your business thrive.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Yes—HR can be affordable, and it can provide the structure and support your business needs to grow with confidence. Too often, small business owners think HR is just for large companies or that it’s only about rules and red tape. But done right, HR isn’t a burden—it’s a strategic partner that helps you make better decisions, protect your company, and create a place where people actually want to work.

You don’t have to do it all alone. With the right guidance, HR can become one of your strongest assets—not a roadblock, but a roadmap to achieving your goals.
