Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Omer Yacobovitch:
The story of Orange Build & Design started with a shared vision between Eric and me. We’ve both been in the construction industry for years—me coming from a background in electrical engineering and general contracting, and Eric bringing in a wealth of experience in high-end home renovations and business operations. What brought us together was a common goal: to build a company that doesn’t just complete projects, but truly elevates the experience for homeowners.
We officially launched Orange Build & Design in Winter Park, Florida, with the idea of creating something personal and trustworthy. In the beginning, we operated from a very small office and later on moved to an office right on Park Ave—literally making use of every resource we had. From there, we started building our client base, one relationship at a time.
Eric Rahamim:
What made it work was that we both believed in delivering high-quality craftsmanship without the usual contractor headaches. We saw a gap in the market for reliable, transparent, and design-forward remodeling services that takes care of everything for the clients from A to Z! and we knew we could fill it. Our backgrounds complemented each other well—Omer focuses on structure, planning, and operations and I’m more involved in finishes, materials and customer experience, we both work on the design and share ideas along the way!
Now, we’re working on everything from full home renovations to kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, and exteriors. We’ve grown through word of mouth, trusted partnerships, and a lot of late nights. But it’s been worth it—Orange Build & Design is not just a construction company, it’s a brand people trust to turn their home ideas into reality.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One of the biggest challenges has been establishing credibility from scratch in a competitive market like Florida — where clients already have countless options. We didn’t have the luxury of slowly ramping up; we had to hit the ground running, deliver quality, and build our name one project at a time.
Another ongoing challenge is balancing high standards with realistic timelines. In construction and remodeling, unexpected issues always pop up — behind walls, under floors, or with permits — and we’ve had to learn how to problem-solve quickly without compromising the final result.
That said, every challenge has made us better — more resilient, more thoughtful in our approach, and more determined to succeed. The road hasn’t been smooth, but we’ve paved it ourselves — and that makes the journey worth it.
