Hi Juliana, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I moved to the U.S. from Brazil about 19 years ago. Since then, I’ve worked across hospitality and real estate, eventually founding my own management company, VIProperties. Over the years, I found myself naturally gravitating toward helping clients and friends enhance their homes—whether it was with interior décor or full-scale renovations. That creative spark turned into a true calling.
Now, I’ve launched Just Walls, a brand focused on delivering beautifully designed, turnkey wall and home projects. It’s incredibly fulfilling to combine my business experience with my passion for design. I’m very excited about this new chapter and looking forward to growing Just Walls into something really special.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Not at all—and I think most meaningful journeys rarely are. Starting over in a new country came with its challenges: learning the language, adapting to a new culture, and building a career from the ground up. In both hospitality and real estate, I had to work twice as hard to prove myself, build trust, and earn my place.
When I started VIProperties, I wore many hats—property manager, problem-solver, and sometimes even interior stylist. The biggest challenge was finding balance: managing clients, running operations, and still carving out time for my creative side.
Launching Just Walls was both exciting and scary. It meant stepping away from what was familiar and betting on my passion for design. There were moments of doubt, long nights, and learning curves—but every struggle helped shape the brand and vision I have today.
