Rising Stars: Meet Angie Pijuan of Orlando, Fl

Today we’d like to introduce you to Angie Pijuan.

Hi Angie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
To make a super long story short:
I found God, and then God showed me my purpose — to inspire and uplift women by focusing on self-care and prioritizing their mental health.

I knew TikTok was the right path for me when I asked God in prayer to show me where He wanted me to work. To my surprise, as I closed my eyes to rest, a vision came over me. It was dark all around, but I could see a phone screen. It didn’t show a specific video, just the TikTok platform — and then, notifications began flooding in from the top of the screen I was holding. That moment became my confirmation.

Through more prayer and fasting, I began to understand that I was being called to showcase my talents online. My gifts include teaching, uplifting others, and expressing creativity through makeup, hair, nails, and fashion. I used to think those things were just a normal part of being a girl growing up. But over time, I realized that they didn’t come naturally to everyone — and that I could help make them fun and simple to learn.

My goal is to not be a gatekeeper. I strive to be authentic, transparent, and honest about everything I share. I want to teach women, both young and seasoned, how to do their hair or makeup — especially without needing to break the bank. To me, it’s not about what you do or don’t have, but how you use it.

I’ve been working on TikTok for about two and a half years, and on YouTube for about one year. I’m not a superstar yet, but I know I will be in God’s perfect timing. To be real, fame has never personally appealed to me. That kind of spotlight comes with a big responsibility. If that’s the assignment God has for me, then I’ll carry it out with obedience.

My most viewed video so far is a quick weave hairstyle — red and black straight hair — set to Kendrick Lamar’s “Luther.” It brought together my love for hair, music, and creativity all in one. That video went from 500 views to over 152,000 overnight on YouTube, helping me gain 900 new subscribers. It’s now slowly gaining traction on TikTok too — it grew from 4,000 views last week to over 6,600 today.

I’m thankful to share my testimony and where my business stands right now. I believe this story will become a powerful milestone in the future, when everything looks completely different.

Don’t stop believing in God and His promises. Walk by faith, not by sight. Work hard, rest well, and stay consistent. Everything is possible through the One who gives us strength.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road hasn’t always been smooth. In fact, my first two or three videos completely flopped — and I almost gave up right then and there. But something inside me said, “Try again.” So I did. I shifted gears and approached my content from a different angle. That next video performed really well… but the ones that followed? Not so much.

It’s been a journey of ups and downs. One of the biggest challenges has been holding on to the promises God gave me, especially during the seasons when the numbers didn’t reflect the effort. That’s where faith comes in — when your results don’t match your vision, but you keep going anyway.

For me, the hardest part has been staying consistent. It’s easy to feel discouraged when growth is slow or unpredictable. But I constantly remind myself: it’s not about chasing big numbers. If even one life is touched, encouraged, or transformed by what I create — that’s more than enough.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I create content centered around beauty, faith, and authenticity — specifically for women who want to feel confident in themselves without having to spend a fortune. I specialize in everyday, affordable glam: hairstyles, makeup looks, shopping hauls, and beauty tips that are both accessible and beginner-friendly. My content includes tutorials, product reviews, and honest behind-the-scenes moments — everything from quick weaves and testimonies to skincare and finding peace in the midst of chaos.

I’m most known for being transparent. Whether I’m showing how to style a look or sharing about spiritual growth, I don’t gatekeep and I don’t pretend to have it all together. I’m open about what I’m doing, what I’m using, where I get it from, and how I’m really feeling throughout the process. My audience knows they’re not just watching content — they’re connecting with someone who genuinely wants to see them win, in every area of life.

What I’m most proud of is being able to merge my passion for creativity with my relationship with God. I’ve been able to build an online space that feels like sisterhood — women encouraging each other and growing together, both inside and out.

What sets me apart is the heart behind what I do. I’m not creating for clout — I’m creating with purpose. I’m not afraid to mention God in the same breath as hair and makeup, because I believe healing, confidence, and creativity all belong in the same space. I want people to leave my page feeling seen, inspired, and a little more hopeful than before.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Start before you feel ready. Don’t wait until everything is perfect — because it never will be. The lighting, the camera, your confidence, the editing… all of that comes with time. You learn by doing. The most important thing is to just begin.

Stay true to who you are. People connect to you — not a polished version of someone else. You don’t have to chase every trend or fit into a certain mold to be successful. Be consistent. Stay grounded in your purpose. And trust that the right audience will find you.

Most importantly, keep God at the center. Ask Him to order your steps, and He will. This journey will stretch you, grow you, and challenge you — but don’t let fear keep you from walking in what He’s called you to do. You’re not behind. You’re right on time.
