Daily Inspiration: Meet Simone Amaduzzi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Simone Amaduzzi.

Simone, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Simone Amaduzzi was born in Bologna, Italy in 1977. His passion for photography has developed over time, thanks to the artistic inheritance of His dad, Daniele Amaduzzi; it is to him, a F1 photo journalist, that Simone now dedicates all his efforts to turn the passion into a profession. His father’s job allowed Simone to travel around the world from a very early age, giving him the chance to savour landscapes and colours which, in time, He has tried to capture in his frames. Simone’s relationship with the camera keeps growing deeper because of his work experience with one of the most prestigious Nature and Wildlife magazine. This experience influenced His work as He now constantly looks for that single, most ouching detail that will inspire both, he and those who enjoy His photos. Simone is also exhibiting His art all around the world and teaching other amateur photographers what does it takes to get the perfect shot.

Today Simone still travels around the world with the tenacity of a man and the curiosity of a child, looking for that exciting shot, hoping to be able to pass on the purity of photography and the “joie the vivre” each one of us can find in a simple frame.

“To be able to admire a curious giraffe or a playful elephant while they enjoy themselves in the water is something that doesn’t happen every day; the thought of immortalizing the action of game the whole sport season worthwhile, or a singer singing at their most passionate moment of a hit song is an opportunity that comes once in a lifetime and, as a photographer, I have had the opportunity to document. The feeling of photographing those moments is indescribable.
I hope that my images can give you the same emotions that happened to me while I was looking for the ideal place, right moment, and the perfect time to try to make it eternal. It is a very pleasure to show you my years of hard work and some of my hardest shoots, no matter how long it took or how hard it was, but always done with joy and the love that this job has given me.”

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road because obstacles are everywhere. From technology that changes and evolves every day, to the competition that gets stronger and stronger. At the beginning of my career I struggled a lot trying to find my way: being a famous sport photographer’s son helped me to understand what hard work meant, but at the same time didn’t help me to find my way, my path. It took me a lot to learn not to take everything personal and to let it go. Not everybody will like my pictures, not everyone will buy my art and this is just life, not something against me. I’ve suffered for years with the impostor syndrome thinking that I was never good enough until I realized that as long as I loved what I did and I liked my pictures, that should be enough to make me happy and keep going.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a professional Wildlife, Nature and landscape photographer and I’m known in the photography business for my gorilla pictures and lately for the wolves and Northern Light images.
I’m proud of the fact that no matter how many times I haven’t been able to capture what I was looking for, I always got back up and continued on my way trying to make it better and sometimes, to make it happen.
What sets me apart from others? I don’t think I’m in any way different than other photographers, I’m just… me. My point of view will always be different than yours and that would make me unique. Trying to get the different angle, looking for the perfect shot, being patient, knowing my equipment and make a lot of researches before to get “on the field” definitely helps to set apart from others.
