Today we’d like to introduce you to Prisila LB.
Hi Prisila, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Hi! I’m Prisila, and together with my husband Edwin, we created the channel Passionate Park Pros. Growing up, my parents instilled in me a deep love for all things Disney and theme parks. They had been visiting Walt Disney World since childhood and made sure my brother and I experienced the magic several times a year.
When I met Edwin, I was shocked to learn he had never been to the parks. I knew immediately I had to change that and show him what he had been missing. That’s when it really hit me—so many people have never had the chance to visit these incredible places, and some may never get the opportunity. That inspired me to start a blog to share my passion. But after a few months of writing, I realized blogging wasn’t right for me. I loved sharing stories and tips, but I couldn’t fully express my excitement or personality through writing alone.
Then one day, my friend Damaris—who was planning her first Disney trip since childhood—strongly encouraged me to start making videos. She suggested I share ride POVs, how I navigate the parks, and my top recommendations for food and experiences. That suggestion sparked a flood of ideas.
Having grown up visiting both Disney and Universal, I knew the parks inside and out. Friends and family often came to me for advice on what to do, where to go, and what not to miss. I’d even join them on their trips to help plan and make sure they were getting the most out of their time and money.
Living in Miami, though—three and a half hours away from Orlando—made things challenging. For a while, we were driving up twice a month to film content, then returning home to edit, which took up a lot of time. Eventually, it became harder to keep up with the schedule. And just as I was getting started in 2019, the pandemic hit. I started to think maybe it wasn’t meant to be. But while stuck at home, we began watching tons of vintage Disney and Universal videos, and the passion reignited.
As soon as the parks reopened, we jumped right back in. By 2021, I realized something had to change. To make this dream work, we needed to be closer. But leaving Miami wasn’t easy—it was home. My culture, my roots, and everything familiar were there. Still, the rising cost of frequent trips made it clear that staying wasn’t sustainable.
I used to say I’d never live in Orlando—I was too attached to Miami and didn’t think I could adjust to the lifestyle. But as the saying goes, “If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans.” Doors began to close for us in Miami, and open in Central Florida. And so, in 2022, we made the move.
Looking back, it was the best decision we could’ve made for ourselves and for our channel. Life looks different now. In Miami, a typical evening meant going out to eat or wandering around Target. Here, we can head to EPCOT for a coffee and a lap around World Showcase. From historic openings like Epic Universe to new rides, lands, food, and merchandise—we’re there to cover it all. And we couldn’t feel more blessed or grateful.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. Creating content that’s both relevant and enjoyable can be really challenging. It’s easy to feel pressured to follow trends rather than make something that feels true to you. Personally, I’ve grown up around theme parks and witnessed all the changes since the ’90s—how much they’ve evolved and continue to grow. At times, it can feel repetitive, and I’ve definitely struggled with figuring out what to create and how to put myself out there, especially when there are so many amazing channels that seem to do it so well.
But after talking to so many kind and supportive content creators, I’ve realized that having your own channel is really a reflection of who you are. It should be authentic. With a lot of encouragement from my parents and husband, I’ve gotten better at staying true to myself while learning how to present content in a way that feels right to me. Even though many YouTubers are covering the same parks, our different backgrounds and life experiences make each perspective unique—and that’s something valuable.
Growing up, my parents always made sure we visited the parks—we were only three and a half hours away—but we couldn’t always afford the extras. We didn’t eat at the fancy restaurants or buy all the merch like I can now. Experiencing those things as an adult feels completely different, and it’s one of the reasons I love sharing that content today—because I know there are others out there who can relate.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We create authentic content—whether it’s visiting a local restaurant or checking out what’s new at one of the parks. I’ve come to realize that so many people are interested in seeing these things and staying in the loop, even when they can’t be here themselves. It helps them feel like they’re part of the experience, too. What really sets us apart from many other channels is that we’re not traditional in any way. There are moments when I think I should tone down my excitement or stick strictly to English without making side comments in Spanish—but then I remind myself that wouldn’t be true to who I am. It’s easy to get caught up in how you think you should act, but at the end of the day, our channel reflects who we are and how we experience life in Central Florida.
I’m especially proud that we’ve stayed true to ourselves and the goals we set for our channel. It’s easy to get distracted by subscriber counts or watch time, but we focus on what really matters to us—creating content we love and sharing our adventures with others. We’re not driven by the numbers or material side of YouTube; we’re here because we genuinely enjoy what we do.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
I believe the most important factor contributing to our channel’s success is that we are both deeply passionate about what we do, while also remaining humble and recognizing that we didn’t achieve this on our own. We realize that with hard work and much prayer and reliance on God, we have been able to do well.
