Today we’d like to introduce you to Denis Costa Goulart.
Hi Denis, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Denis Costa Goulart, and my journey in international education began in 2007 when I came to the United States from Brazil as an English language student. During that time, I met my wife, who was also an international student from South Korea. Our shared experiences as language learners brought us together, and after getting married, we returned to Brazil, where we lived for nearly a decade.
Those years gave me time to reflect on the unique challenges and aspirations of international students. Having gone through that journey myself, I deeply understood what it feels like to study in a new country, adapt to a different culture, and strive to achieve personal and academic goals through English.
Eventually, I decided to turn that experience into purpose. I returned to the U.S. with a vision—to create a school that would support international students not only in learning English but also in feeling understood, welcomed, and empowered. That vision became Just Go Languages. Today, I lead the school with the same passion I had as a student—always focused on providing a meaningful, supportive, and effective learning experience for people from around the world.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has certainly not been a smooth road—and in many ways, the challenges continue. Many people assume that running an English school is simple, but the reality is quite different. The process is heavily regulated, especially when it involves international students on student visas. There are numerous government requirements, strict compliance standards, and a constant flow of documentation that must be meticulously managed.
One of our biggest challenges came right at the beginning. We officially launched the business in 2019—just before the COVID-19 pandemic hit. At the time, we were located in Miami Beach, and like many others, we were blindsided by the sudden shift. Physical classes were prohibited, and most of our international students had to return to their home countries. It was a period of deep uncertainty.
Rather than give up, we decided to adapt. We moved the school to Orlando, believing it offered a better environment for growth and stability in the long term. It wasn’t easy—but with each bump in the road, we adapted, we learned, and we overcame. Every challenge has made us stronger and more committed to our mission. Today, Just Go Languages stands as a testament to resilience, perseverance, and the belief that with the right mindset, setbacks can lead to even greater opportunities.

What are your plans for the future?
Looking ahead, we’re excited about the future of Just Go Languages. We’re currently planning to expand with a second location right here in Orlando, allowing us to serve even more international students in the area. In addition, we’re developing a new course focused on Business English, designed specifically for professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs who want to improve their communication skills in a global business environment.
Our goal is to continue growing in ways that add value to our students’ lives—both academically and professionally—while maintaining the personalized, student-centered approach that we’re known for. These next steps reflect our ongoing commitment to innovation, quality, and creating opportunities for international students to thrive in today’s world.
