Daily Inspiration: Meet Felipe Vega

Today we’d like to introduce you to Felipe Vega.

Hi Felipe, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, it all started during the pandemic, when social events weren’t allowed and we could only leave our homes for essential activities, and only with a government permit. At that time, I was unemployed, so I started watching tons of Disney and Universal Orlando videos on YouTube. I became more and more interested in the topic—I couldn’t believe how big and complex each of these parks were. They’re like actual cities, because of their sheer size!

That’s when my passion for theme parks, especially Disney and Universal, truly began. Eventually, we took our first trip together to Orlando in 2022, and I was able to put into practice everything I had learned on YouTube—every tip, secret, special spot, reservation trick… everything. We booked the trip through an agent named Fran Soremi, who confirmed everything we had researched and gave us confidence that we were on the right track.

After that trip, I was blown away by how well-organized both parks were (Disney and Universal), the technology used in each attraction, the quality of the shows, and the incredible food we had anywhere inside the parks.

Later on, we traveled to Disneyland Paris, which led us to study even more for that trip. Once again, we were able to apply everything we had learned online. After that trip, I had the opportunity to join the travel agency OUAT, which had just been created by our former agent, Fran Soremi. Since we had already connected during the 2022 trip, the whole process of joining the team was smooth and quick.

And since March 2025, I’ve been a certified travel agent for Disney and Universal. I’m truly happy to be creating content on social media and helping people with all the tips and tricks they need to make the most of their experience.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Well… I think the biggest obstacle is living far from Orlando. I literally live on the other side of the world, and it’s hard to compete against other agents who live there, for example, and can easily create content every day. I have to figure out how to deliver good, eye-catching, and entertaining data.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Well, aside from being a mechanical engineer, I’m a Disney and Universal agent. I work for a travel agency called Once Upon A Travel, which specializes in trips to Orlando’s theme parks. I’m not a well-known or famous person; I’ve only made a couple of videos that went viral on TikTok where I compare the size of WDW with cities in Chile, which caught a lot of people’s attention. I’m proud of my small family; my wife and daughter make me very happy. My goal is to differentiate myself by providing simple and entertaining information about all the experiences you can enjoy at both Disney and Universal.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Yes, I’m always watching YouTube and TikTok videos, analyzing them. I’m very inspired by spontaneous content creators who show themselves as they are, living the moment with authenticity. I appreciate when they share not only their perfect moments but also their mistakes, because it enriches the content and allows us to truly get to know the person behind the camera.
