Daily Inspiration: Meet Reynaldo Valdes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Reynaldo Valdes.

Hi Reynaldo, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey of how I got started to now as Reytoofoodie started off as a funny past time/ hobby! I really loved taking pictures of my outfits and me going out to put on Instagram but never did that too often as I am a person who stays to them self more and keeps a small circle of friends. I really fell in love solo adventures and trying new things such as parks beaches and most importantly restaurants! As I got older and independent I ventured out into the Orlando area where I have lived all my life to see what the city beautiful had to offer. I loved seeing all the beautiful small businesses taking such pride in their work and felt it needed to be shared. I created my food page to build a place where people could come and see what I call my consumption diary! From 100 to almost 4 thousand followers engagement and a wake welcome from the foodie scene was a new world to me. Not only the foodie community but the Orlando community opened a door where I could turn curiosity of a hobby into an everyday passion I plan to grow into a lifelong dream and career!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Growing as a micro foodie influencer is not a smooth road at all. It was quite a bumpy one, after I started gaining traction I was trying to see how to enhance my content. With such a large community it’s very hard to find a way to stand out! This I would say is a struggle I have consistently but am sure it is the same for many! Trying to find new places and ideas as well as how to go about creating content people truly want to see.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am currently working to get my bachelors in integrated business. I work part time and am a part time student which means I am full time busy! I am most proud of my work ethic and keeping my goals set and met for my future and passions aligned. What sets me apart from others doing what I do is that I am younger than most I see creating content online and also just an everyday student.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
Advice I would give to anyone just starting out would definitely be unique and think outside the box but most importantly just do what makes you happy! Starting out I wish I knew more about the logistics algorithm and engagement. Your craft you perfect over time but content creation has tips and tricks I’m still learning and seeking advice on too!
